Thinking out loud the Bonnies 6th man should communicate these names. Chances are they already know as not much gets past these guys. You never know....

how about LEVI STOCKARD 6-8 240 grad transfer from KANSAS ST. cousin to COURTNEY . I think this is a great idea and he would be a solid addition to our team as a 2nd or 3rd big with BIG 12 experience. Is Levi Stockard definitely going to be a grad transfer?

Coach discussed the possibility of the NCAA passing the new transfer rule in May. He does not like the rule, immediate playing time for any transfers, but feels it will pass. If it does pass, coach says there will be many more players that transfer, this year. Also, Roberts would be available this year. Correct me if I am wrong, but that is how I see it.

He announced his transfer from Kansas State today, and would be a grad transfer with one year to play.

I'm all in on another big. While I didn't catch coaches Zoom session, to hear him say that he fully intends to have both Shown and Shaw on the court for periods of time, says to me, we may well need a third big to spell them. I think with Justin and Quinn, even though Quinn, doesn't have any experience, I think we are set there. Both can shoot, I am still holding out hope that we can get everybody to campus by July and coach Fiske can get in some strength time for the whole group and likewise give everybody a place they can play. I am wearing out this groove, and I don't know if Russel Tchewa, the 7', is a possibility or not, but I like the Coleman, Wague, Hima or Richards idea. Knowing our staff they are way ahead of us. This to me, would have been the perfect spot for Louth, but that ship has sailed. I was trying to do some type of recommit or reclassifying search, but all I was pulling up was guys going G league or top 20 recruits. That's how we were able to get Jalen Adams, Shoon and others over the years.

Coach's comments re Osun and Shaw on the court together were much closer to 'could' and 'may' than 'fully intends.' He praised Shaw's passing saying you can teach bigs post moves and positioning but passing is more innate. To me passing out of the post was the most impressive part of UMass' Mitchell's game.

With the May NCAA transfer decision in mind, I would continue to cull, troll, maybe not a good word choice, for a big, if you find someone you really like, go fro it. But with the possibility that the rule change may come and a lot could change in May, I would not be desperate for a signing now. The upside/downside for Roberts being eligible, is you now have another 3 pt shooter to put on the court, and also a decent back up pg option, the downside, you've got to find more minutes for a player at a position that was already going to be competitive. Adaway and Creal maybe stealing a few minutes at 4, or maybe it's more like they are playing as part of a four guard lineup at times. The Stockard idea is interesting, but I guess I'm concerned about developing Justin and Quinn, the longer term answer that a freshman big might bring is why I would lean in that direction.

Exactly. I was surprised coach even mentioned Shaw and Osun on the floor at the same time. And he did say that Adaway could see time at the 4 also.

This is a summary of what Coach feels will happen if the NCAA passes the no sit rule for transfers in May. College ball will completely change. You no longer will build a team for 3, or four years. One year will be the goal. As an example he said the possibility will exists that if a Bonnie goes off against a power5 team, the players will be talking at the end of the game as they shake hands.....”hey, come play with us next year!”. Recruiting, as we know it, will no longer exist.

Yeah, I heard that. Found it interesting he used the Rutgers/Winston game this past year as an example! Now that maybe just a coincidence he brought that game up, but that was enough to get my mind roving. It also did not help that there was some talk, about Winston possibly transferring and he is from Rutgers back yard. Schmidt was clearly not happy about the possibility of this new rule -which he thinks is going to happen this year.

If the rule passes in May, you willl no longer see a team that stays together this long.

Did COACH say anything about the newly opened up ship? Such as will he use it?
