ESPN Bubble Watch Richmond The Spiders were a consensus pick as one of the last teams in the projected field until they lost at St. Bonaventure by four. That goes into the books as a Quad 2 defeat, one that's not necessarily all that damaging except insofar as what it might reveal. Richmond will close its season with a road game at Duquesne, and the Dukes figure to be just as tough as the Bonnies if not more so. Chris Mooney's team is a highly efficient outfit on offense inside the arc, one that also plays very good defense. www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/28577356/ncaa-tournament-bubble-watch-updated-look-wildest-bubble-years#Others

"As tough as the Bonnies if not more so." Did not the BONNIES defeat Duquesne in their place?

I saw that too. Overall though, between that comment and that the loss for Richmond wasn't too 'damaging'.. is a subtle undertone that we're a respected program. Or at least the absence of calling it a 'bad loss' is a bit refreshing.
This Bubble Watch used to have a devoted section to the A10. Despite having at least 4 teams to discuss on a regular basis, (this year Dayton, URI, Richmond, and VCU), we've been relegated to 'Others' for a couple years. That's not so refreshing...

Our losses look awful since they're by big margins. Otherwise SBU would be talked about

Dayton up to #4 in the AP and #3 in the coaches poll. Well deserved.

Couple of A10 games of note tonight:
Dayton at Mason at 7pm on Stadium. Outcome matters little to us, except watching the 4th ranked team in the nation.
LaSalle at Davidson at 7pm on ESPN+. Interesting to see how this game goes. We play the Explorers on Saturday

UD 30-25 over Mason, Davidson in command 39-23 over LaSalle, both at the break.

Mason gave UD a battle, within two with 1:18 to go. But Flyers did enough to finish their 15th straight league win without a blemish, 62-55. 19 for Obi, 9 2nd half pts for Ibi.
Davidson cruised 74-49, 22 for Grady. If LaSalle can't hit treys, they're toast.

We have the toughest game of the night, everyone else play the bottom of the league....VCU at UMass, URI at Fordham, Spiders at GW, SLU hosting the Hawks

We have the spotlight game tonight for sure but I like most the other games and think they could be interesting.
VCU should run UMass out of the gym, but the UMass fans think they can hang with the Rams.
Don't write off GW at home vs Richmond. GW is a much better team with Potter and although I don't think they will win, but they might cover +7.5.
Also St. Joes gave SLU a game in their first meeting, maybe they can pull out another win, although being on the road makes that less likely.

Evans is out and Hyland is hurt/possible out. Something really doesnt smell right with VCU. Wouldnt be surprised to find out there is a rift on the team that doesnt come out until after the season.

VCU's collapse is nearly complete now. I think it is stunning that team could lose to UMass at home and is now tied with them, virtually out of the double bye picture. KCsbu might be correct that something is going on behind the scenes.
