From the "who would have thought" statements......Fordham is the last A10 team to win in the 2019/2020 season.

Big East cancels their tournament at halftime of the St Johns vs Creighton game.
Also saw this "VCU and UMass talked to the refs with 30 seconds remaining on the clock before introductions and exited the floor."
Obviously the Bonnies were in the house when they got the news. Tough for the kids, I imagine it will be a quiet trip back to school, unless the kids go home.

A kick in the pants for Dayton and the A10. But, they had no choice. What are the are the last 2 teams in the A-10 to go deep in the tourney? Without googling. Saint Joe’s and. Massachusetts? I don’t count George Mason. They were not in the A-10 then.

A kick in the pants for Dayton and the A10. What are the are the last 2 teams in the A-10 to go deep in the tourney? Two months ago I posted about Dayton at 13, having the 3rd best AP ranking ever in the A-10. Dayton moving to #3 still keeps them at 3rd behind U-Mass (1996) and St. Joseph (2004), both were ranked #1 in the AP in the last week before NCAA Tournament. A-10 teams advancing deep in the tournament. -- UMass 1996 made it to the finals losing to Kentucky and 1995 made it to Sweet 16. -- St. Joseph 2004 made it to Sweet 16. -- Xavier 2004 and 2008 made it to Sweet 16. -- Temple 88,91,93,99 and 2001 teams made it to Sweet 16. Something to consider is Dayton only had 2 losses and both were in overtime. They lost to #1 Kansas and Colorado, who was ranked at the time. I think Dayton had the potential to make it to the finals. www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/massachusetts/www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/saint-josephs/2004-schedule.htmlwww.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/xavier/www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/temple/

Technically, 1996 "never happened" as the NCAA voted to rescind/erase records of UMass's Final 4 status - due to violations committed!

Didn't La Salle (the only team in the A-10 to ever win an NCAA Championship btw) have a Sweet 16 run in 2013?
