From campus today: He was seen walking with crutches and a brace, and appeared in good spirits. That news, with some sunshine made this a brighter day.

Counting out 2 weeks on the schedule - Vermont, Siena, Rutgers (in Toronto), maybe back for Canisius? Heal quickly big guy.

Good. I think a Canisius return might be too optimistic. Truth is even with him healthy, and even if we had beaten Ohio by 20 the other night, I still had Vermont and Rutgers pegged as losses.
Hopefully they can still find a way to beat Siena and Canisius without him (yikes, if not) then get him back for Mercer to ease in before heading down to Boca.

As a result, Carpenter and especially Winston get more time right? Glad he’s ok but these first 6 games or so could be pretty rough.

Hopefully they pull it together better than they showed against Ohio, but we could be in for a rough few games. Having said that, like with last year's freshmen, this could be an opportunity for Carpenter and Winston to gain valuable experience.

Bone Bruise. They are looking at about a month. (Maggio tweet) My son called a hit to the knee as soon as it happened. I thought the worst. As a Bonnie fan for over 50 years, one always expects the worse on the injury front.

As a Bonnie fan for over 50 years, one always expects the worse on the injury front. Although they are quite painful and slow to heal, I view that as a whole lot better than even a sprain. Once he's back, his movement should be close to normal.

I only saw a bad angle replay - I couldn't tell if it was non contact or what?

I saw a replay furnished by S B U-TV and it shows O O landing after he blocks the shot and his knee goes inward instead of outward so I was surprised it is being called a bone bruise.

I agree with Sipo's observation. I did not see contact other than foot to floor causing knee to flex in a manner causing him to grimace in pain. MRI report of no structural damage is terrific news.
