Really weak. Let's hope the other 2 spots are quality P5 schools. For the life of me, I don't understand why we don't get into one of the NYC area holiday tournaments that always seem to attract an A-10 team, in particular at the Barclay Center. In recent years, teams like Richmond, VCU, UMass, even St Louis for gods sake have played in a holiday tournament at Barclays. Has anyone noticed who draws more fans every year when the A-10 tourney is in Brooklyn? I don't get it. We are a natural for a NYC area tourney and I can't remember the last time we got an invite to one down there.

That is weak. Really weak. Let's hope the other 2 spots are quality P5 schools. I wouldn't hold my breath. This year's field was Valparaiso, Grand Canyon, Fordham, Nevada, Illinois State, Cincinnati, Bowling Green and Western Kentucky. Not a P5 among them, "quality" or otherwise. But, you can only take the gigs your offered once the lobbying is done.

From a purely business perspective, how are we not at the top of the wish list for the bigger tournaments?

P5’s are usually terrified to play a team like ours. They might lose lmao.

Teams who invest in facilities and focus on their brand get invited to these tournaments. We went 30 years without thinking about this. Despite our overwhelming support by the fan base on the road, despite our recent string of success. It is a lot of years to make up.

Hopefully the remaining two spots are better teams or else all the posters saying this years Belfast Boca Jam allowed or set us up for the paradise jam will have some explaining to do.

Siena has been horrible for ten years. Next year Siena plays in the Orlando Invitational. Among the 8 teams in the tournament. Michigan St, Gonzaga, Auburn, Xavier. and St Louis from the A-10. Now that’s a resume building tourney that we should be in. Loaded with potential final four teams.

I imagine Siena falls in the scrub category that larger tournaments tend to have. As others have said we are too good to fit into that category.

I have to disagree here...not exactly "blue bloods" of college hoops, however you need to keep in mind many of these field are set 18-24 months prior to the actual tournament...which is the same case for the Paradise Jam. We knew 2020 was happening last winter. When you look at this years field, no one would've thought back at this point last year that Mick Cronin would have left Cincy and be coaching at UCLA...same for Eric Musselman at then Nevada and Arkansas respectively. Cincy has had a some very respectable teams over the past 15+ years...and they are a "P6" school...P5 only is consistent when you're talking football. Nevada...pretty darn good the past 4-5 years...and now has Steve Alford manning the bench. Western Kentucky with Rich Stansbury...coming off a couple top 30-40 recruiting classes and some bigtime P6 transfer talent...pretty decent mid-major program. Valpo...although down a bit this year, pretty decent history of having some good teams over the past 20 years. Bowling Green...many early season prognosticators have them winning the MAC and going to the dance. On the surface to those that don't understand college hoops, not a great field this year - but I feel the tournament did a pretty good job projecting some good teams and including some programs with good history of success. My biggest grip out of this years tourney is that they have two MVC schools in it. Hoping that doesn't following suit for the 2020 version. Would love to see some high major schools participate, however at this point in the game, I'd say that's highly unlikely if they haven't already been committed/announced. The 2019 field is actually quite a bit better than 2020 field as of today. We'll see how it's filled out in the coming weeks. And the reality is...the Bonnies are playing in the Virgin Islands...Caymans in 2018, Virgin Islands in 2020...not bad. This is big for the players and a recruiting tool for future Bonnies. Go Bonas!
