Well that sucks. At some point we have to hold the athletic department accountable but fuck it tell me about Bobby McGee junior on the 65 squad.
It’s not worth getting upset about. A lot of the older fan base by in large demands mediocrity and not investing in the program.

In the past they have brought in good teams to play in it. This year they did not for whatever reason. Of all things to get angry about and point fingers at, this is a stretch.

You being an ass is not unexpected.

Athletic department has nothing to do with this piece of garbage tourney they again find themselves headlining. But I do think heads should have rolled over this year’s schedule. Not worth relitigating but damn this ooc has SUCKED.

Hopefully the two guys that post on the UB board are wrong. The paradise Jam used to be a respected tournament.

For at least the next two seasons (and hopefully more) we will have a loaded team. If we do not win the league tournament, then our performance in every game will dictate if we get an at large bid. So next two seasons OOC schedule is very important - we don't need excuses used when it comes to Selection Sunday. While we cannot control this particular tournament (that sounded great on paper a season ago), we need our best efforts to wrangle some decent OOC games - no more Gannons.

I looked at the returning rosters for all the teams in next year's Paradise Jam. While no one is a "wow" name brand team, the field as a whole is solid with most of the squads on the uptick. Then add MTSU, New Mexico, UB, Siena, NU, the Fighting Witherspoons, plus whoever rounds out the OOC and that is a pretty good schedule. Eliminate the bad losses and take care of business in the A10 season and there is no reason to believe we cannot be in the thick of tournament at large discussions

USVI is still having challenges from hurricane recovery. It doesn't get the mentions that PR gets, but it has also been hit hard. Last I checked, the Marriott location that had been the host hotel a couple years ago wasn't even open for this year's tournament, and the host property this year has mixed reviews on travel review sites.
The Bonnies committed a long time ago. It was known and a topic of discussion during the Cayman tournament. Perhaps these conditions have been a factor in not getting the type of field that was anticipated.

Over and over and over, it’s the same thing with you. I’m absolutely sure the Athletic Department is doing the very best it can in the area of scheduling. It’s even tougher now with a lot of 20 game league schedules. We can NOT force P6 teams to play us. They will NEVER come to the Reilly Center, and the prospect of losing an OOC game at home to us scares them to death. Unfortunately, due to our down years not so long ago, we are NOT a national team like VCU, Dayton, URI, or Davidson. Give it time, and it will happen. Tournaments like the Paradise Jam are not asking us who we want to play. They are attempting to fill their fields with the best AVAILABLE teams. Duke, UNC, MSU etc just must not be interested to find a tournament that the Bonnies are in every year. ALMOST everyone here would like to see a more national schedule, and ALMOST everyone here would like you to lighten up on your scheduling criticism. WE don’t make the schedule. Get a sit down with TK and Coach. They might care what thebonafan08 thinks, but I doubt it. Have a Happy New Year, and Go Bonas

Scheduling needs to better. End of story. If current leadership can’t do it we need people who can. No one expects Syracuse at the RC. The same way enrollment was going down for 10 years and thank god eventually “trying the best they can” was not enough and serious people were brought in to fix it.
