Kordell Charles 6'7 Canadian thoroughbred has an offer from the Bonnies early on. List of suitors has grown with many majors now interested. We need some of our Canadian alumni players help us land this difference maker.

Sorry, I could not resist. In the 2020 recruiting thread, this young man, Conner Williams of Victor HS, was a "by the way mentio". I don't believe we are recruiting him, I am fascinated by bigs, for their potential. Some of the folks on the board, could likely better evaluate whether Connor goes anywhere. Anyway, he is a junior at Victor, now 7' and somewhere over 300 lbs. Maybe this is me being overly optimistic, but I thought he had pretty good hands, a nice shooting touch, both around the hoop and from three. I remember the UMass big from a couple years back, it seemed like he was going to be a decent player and maybe more, but I don't think he ever reached the potential some people thought he would. I wonder what Connor would look like it he worked with a trainer for a year. Let's say he is able to shed 75-100 lbs, not an easy task by any means. Anyway, on a hot summer afternoon, play talent scout. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXlFPxG5PGM

Williams is definitely worth keeping an eye on. I've only seen him play in person once, but he was first team All Greater Rochester so there must be something there. Right now, A10 athletes close to his height would eat him alive. However, he has some skill-can shoot, has some post moves, and is a very good passer. Due to his size he is slow and doesn't get off the floor much. If he drops some weight-and he would have to drop a lot - he could be a diamond in the rough so maybe it is good there is no AAU season this summer. He would be an ideal candidate to prep or if our staff sees something maybe sign and redshirt. Scrolling through his Twitter followers there are a lot of football coaches from lower D1s to about every D2 in the Northeast and many D3s and quite a few D3 basketball coaches.

I live in Victor although I didnt see him play too much since I didnt draw any of their games this year. 123 gave a pretty good description. I would add that I dont see him being D1. He cant jump over a piece of paper and has no lateral quickness. Some people here ripped Amadi, Amadi would eat him for lunch. Being All Greater Rochester this year isnt saying much, it was a down year around here and there isnt anybody around that can compete with his size.

I saw Conner Williams play several times last year. He is a giant amongst boys at nearly 7 feet 400 pounds but has nearly no lateral agility. He is definitely not D1 caliber at this point. He did play against Jermaine Taggert, Bonnies new preferred walk on, in the sectional semifinal. There is plenty of video out there from that game to give you some perspective.

Welcome aboard bleedbrown; thanks for the update. Taggert attended my alma mater and we welcome him to Journey. Preferred walkon is good way to get a diamond in the rough. I know the entire McQuaid coaching staff and they rave his best days are ahead. I believe his uncle, Glenn Taggert, was a star guard for McQ and later at North Carolina A&T in the late 1980s. Keep the posts coming especially about Section V.

FULLER had a fine season at Cardinal Hayes. Lost in the semi final to a powerful Stepinac squad. He had 22 pts & 8 boards. But Stepinac's AJ Davis (headed to NC) had 28 for the win. We were one of his early offers (June 2019). He was rated NYC #5 player behind top talent. Kid can hit the outside shot! Here's how he looked just a few days ago. www.thehoophustle.com/news_article/show/1115487
