a taller Patricio Prato? Hmmm.. I think players from other countries come in and play hard at both ends of the court so maybe this might be good.

Wow, we Wagoneers have had a lot to chat about this past recruiting year. 50 pages on this thread, and 30 on the transfer thread. Of course, the job Schmidt and staff have done to replenish the talent and bench depth has been remarkable. Keen anticipation for the season ahead. Hope Our Guys can avoid Covid and senioritis and meet most expectations.
Come November, buckled up and enjoy the ride.

It has been quite an active recruiting year for the Bonnies. 50 pages ago it started with BRETT RUMPEL. And today, 18 months later, the signing of BRETT is announced. The staff has worked hard to acquire more players than ever under Coach Schmidt. The number is particularly impressive due to the quality of this remarkable recruiting class.

i am really tired of the same old thing about the bonnies being at a recruiting disadvantage due to location.if it were true they wouldn't be atop of the A10 would they? the author should also do his homework on the spelling of names.

None of the 8 newcomers will be starters. No shit! Anyone doing the tiniest bit of research knows we return all 5. If none of these guys crack the starting lineup in 22-23, then we have some real problems. Or it means that the Iron 5 all return for one more š

Who would not want to play at the basketball version of "Field of Dreams". SBU is among the most beautiful campuses in all the land!!!!

Who would not want to play at the basketball version of "Field of Dreams". SBU is among the most beautiful campuses in all the land!!!! Agreed. It is all in how you recruit. Make your pitch fit the benefits of the area. In Bonaās case, it is a basketball community, along with the vision of the school and the location that allow you to play ball, study, learn and grow into the best person you can be. The area is one that allows you to focus on you and develop not only your game, but you personally. If we had a stronger alumni network nationally, it would be a really great pitch. If you are a kid who plays ball in a city, it is hard to imagine an area like the Oleander/Allegheny area, but it gives them the opportunity to focus on the things they should want to excel in, their game, and their studies, to improve their life one way or another. The experience makes for a much more well rounded person.

If these idiots did a bit of research instead of just repeating the same babble they read elsewhere, they'd realize we have advantages that appeal to a particular type of person. In fact, we don't have a lot of competition if someone prefers a small school that is a D1 force, or a person who doesn't like big cities or metropolitan areas, yet desires a quality basketball program with rabid fans. They'd be a bit more accurate if they would say our recruits are not the typical kid looking for city life outside of basketball, but those who are gym rats that love what Bonas has to offer.

Relax, and not āreading inā what isnāt there will help with that. He said Schmidt is at a recruiting disadvantage without saying why and not attributing it to our location. Just on recruiting budget alone, we are. More importantly, the author isnāt trying to convince anyone we have recruited poorly or unsuccessfully. If anything, itās a credit to the staff to acknowledge our success without regularly getting four star recruits on the roster, which is simply a fact. What is there to get upset about in someone noting that? And even if he had said the location puts us at a disadvantage, as so many have indeed said, so the F what? Thatās an opinion that the facts just donāt support and virtually every time I have heard that said by some talking head, it has been a prelude to an acknowledgement that Schmidt has done a fantastic job with the program. Take it as the complement is is typically intended to be.
