We are 7 games into the schedule, and things are starting to look a bit clearer. 8 teams are in the running for the Double-bye, and I don't care who gets it as long as one of them is SBU.
Dayton at 7-0, URI at 6-1 and VCU at 5-2 to me are definites over us, especially that we have lost to them, therefore they have the tiebreaker over us.
Now Richmond at 5-2 and the Dukes also at 5-2 are in the running. We play the Spiders once, and the Dukes twice. Must wins for us to get the double bye. Saint Louis and Davidson equal our 4-3 conference record. We also play them once, and therefore are must wins. Our last game of the conference schedule has us at Saint Louis and could be the determining factor.
So simply, running the table gets us the double-bye (not rocket science), but I feel comfortable that another loss will still allow us the bye, because everyone else (maybe Dayton is the exception) will lose at least 1 more game. So time will tell, I believe if we put everything together, and no more injuries, we will get the double bye.....again from the eyes of a blind faith fan.

Fjs - including tonight, 11 games remain, 5 at the RC, 6 on the road including Duquesne (only a quasi-home game for the Dukes), and SLU. I agree that if we have only two more losses we’d be in good shape, but fear there’s realistically more then 2 losses on the horizon, and that starting this stretch of the year with a W tonight (with Rose Hill traditionally being a only a quasi-home game against us for Fordham even on their home floor) is critical. Go Bonnies.

Actually, I have a feeling that the A10 will eat each other over these 11 games. Dayton, URI, and VCU may separate themselves. And since we are done with them for the regular season we should hope that at least 2 of them do. Bona, DUQ, Rich, SLU, and Davidson will all be fighting for a double bye. UMass is playing decent and Mason, GW, and Lasalle may have a surprise or two in them. So only two more losses would be ideal, we may sneak in with 3.

Looked at the conference standings this a.m. Two other teams have the same record as bona,,all the teams are good enough that nothing is a givens. Fordham has a poor record ,but has often played well against bona.

I think 123Rob is correct and I also see the league chewing itself up in the final 5 weeks of league games. I think last night, with several “middle-of-the-pack” teams taking teams above them into OT, was a preview of things to come, and we’re going to see a lot of those days in the next five weeks. Hopefully NBCSN and CBSSN will have a couple of the all-day A-10 triple headers they’ve featured in the past several years as it should be very interesting to watch going down the stretch for anyone with more then a passing interest, which includes everyone here. I also think with the way Kyle can control a game and not panic, we are in a better position then most teams to survive those kinds of games. Hopefully we will stay at or near the top of the league in free throw shooting, which is critical to winning tight games, even though we are short in another of the critical factors, upperclassmen. I am also pleased I have tickets for the Richmond game on the 22nd, which should be critical. Enjoy the ride and Go Bonnies.

I am bumping this up, as after this weekend there will be 4 games to play.
clearly the outcome is in our own hands. a sweep starting today guarantees us a 3, and depending on uri an outside shot at 2nd

A sweep, ending with beating St Louis at their place, would be a SPECTACULAR ending to conference play.

With 4 games remaining for everyone, things are looking pretty good.
Obviously winning the 4 remaining games (Duquesne, at LaSalle, St Joes, at Saint Louis), guarantees us 3rd place and 2nd is possible if the Rhodey Rams lose 2. I'll take 3rd.
Now can we lose the double bye, well anything is possible, look at what has happened to VCU, 4 losses in a row, never would have "thunk" it. We can lose 3rd if Richmond wins 1 more game than us. For the double bye we (and Richmond) have 3 competitors with 6 losses.....Davidson, Duquesne and Saint Louis. If we win 3 they cannot catch us. If we break even at 2-2 for the remaining games we open a path for them to tie us if they win out. Of course we play the Dukes and the Billikins and beating them would probably eliminate them. I believe that Davidson has the most difficult path and they have the tiebreaker over us.
From Ceharv:
Duquesne: at Bonas; GMU; at VCU; Richmond.
Richmond: at UMASS; GW; Davidson; at Duquesne.
Davidson: LaSalle; at Dayton; at Richmond; VCU
SLU: SJU; at URI; at GMU; Bonas.

If all the higher seeds win, as of today, our Friday night opponent is Davidson

SLU would be the biggest threat to lose a top 4 seed if we finish 2-2, but only if that 2nd loss is to them.

Oh and they would need to win out also.
Bottom line is 4-0 guarantees at least 3rd, 3-1 guarentees at least 4th, 2-2 probably still gets us 4th, 1-3 we will need some help but 4th still possible.

What happens if Richmond, Bonaventure and URI all finish 14-4? Here's the answer as best I can tell: to be determined The first tiebreaker for a 3 team tie is head-to-head competition....each team is 1-1 (we beat Richmond/lost to URI), Rich beat URI, lost to us, URI beat us, lost to Richmond). So now you go to the highest ranked common opponent and your record against them. All of us are 0-1 against Dayton, but here is the catch, URI plays Dayton 1 more time....so I think if URI wins they are 2nd, we finish 3 and Richmond 4. If URI loses we are 2nd, Richmond 3rd and URI 4th because uri will be 0-2 vs the Flyers. Please check that out No1stunna

Honestly if we win on Wednesday I feel it's pretty much a lock. We're young but seasoned and I think we take care of business where we need to
