Update after 2/21 &22 weekend games, there are 2 weeks of league games left in the schedule, ending on Sunday, March 8th. Everyone has 4 games remaining so no more half-game standings issues to deal with. Andalso to add UIRI into the mix, as we are closer to second then we are to falling out of the top 4. My amateur analysis is that 6 teams remain in the mix to earn the double-bye in the tournament, but will keep VCU in for now. For what it's worth, I have compiled a list of the remaining games for all 6, plus URI. After the number of games remaining next to each team, I have broken down the games remaining against the top teams in the league - which I have identified as the 6 candidates plus Dayton and URI. Tough games are first, slash, then lower teams. Using that quick analysis we appear to have the easiest road to the end, having already endured (and nicely recovered from, IMO) our murderer’s row of VCU, URI and Dayton in mid-season, although I think the team and staff would bristle at the use of the word easy in any form. The second head-to-head against Duquesne on Wednesday looks to be the most critical although ithe final vs. SLU looms large to our final placement as they appear to be coming on strong. I will keep this updated as we move along.

Bonas 3 1/2:
at LaSalle; St. Joes; at SLU.

Duquesne 3 2/1:
GMU; at VCU; Richmond.

Richmond 3 2/1:
GW; Davidson; at Duquesne.

VCU 3 2/1:
GWU; Duquesne; at Davidson.

Davidson 3 3/0:
at Dayton; at Richmond; VCU

SLU 3 2/1:
at URI; at GMU; Bonas.

URI 3 2/1
SLU; Dayton; at UMass

Bump to include last weekend’s games, the only one of which holding any significance turned out to be our magnificent W over Duquesne, the DVR’d replay of which I just can’t stop watching (at least the final 10 minutes or so). Go Bonnies.

You may want to double check VCU as it appears that they have 5 games vs the other contenders.

Good pick up 1960, you are correct and thanks. Seeing the way VCU throttled us, I think it is stunning we may finish third and they may miss out on the double bye, but that is possible unless they get on a run, which i think they are capable of.

Bump to include games through Friday (yuck), so just 3 weekends and three mid-weeks games, although for Bonas it’s 3 weekend games and 2 mid-weeks with us off until next Saturday v. Richmond, (which will be attended by several members of the Class of ’75 and spouses looking for a better result then last year’s gathering, which was the VCU horror). I trust the staff and team can use the week off to eliminate the stench from the Davidson game last night from the RC and return to form. IMO we have the easiest path, with only 5 games left total and only 3 of those versus top teams, only one of which is on the road. Plus we start the final, final stretch a full game ahead of the next two contenders for the 4th place double-bye slot (with the Dukes facing a trip to the RC and a must-win game there, and VCU on the road with must wins v. Richmond, SLU and Davidson, plus home to Dayton which seems to win everywhere including tough roadies)Hold serve, avoid a tie-breaker with VCU and we'll be fine..

Update/bump to include weekend of 2/15/16 games. We own a half-game lead over the Dukes, but we control that as we play them head-to-head at the RC. The Dukes schedule also includes games at Dayton and at VCU, so their road is really tough. Also, they don't have any time off like we do during this week. We should be well-rested for Richmond, who will face GMU at home this week on Wednesday, so one practice then head to Olean for the Saturday game in the RC. Weather looks good - too bad, a nice snow storm would have really complicated travel for the Spiders, but not this winter (is it winter?)

Thanks and done ols73. You are correct; I was sloppy. You hangin' in there OK? Best of luck. Do you have someone with medical knowledge watching you watch the Bonnies, or are you banned? They may not be aware that Bonnie fans put more into watching our team then is the expected norm for watching a college basketball game.

I am now in my 17th day at HUP, patiently awaiting the call. Resting comfortably.
Mine eyes saw the gory of the routing by the Cats. Looking for a 180 turnaround Sat night. Bona must play THEIR game, not Spidey's. But yes, I have to stay calmer than most Bona faithful bc of my health.

And OLS73 at least you were probably somewhat less stressed for 39 minutes of the game Saturday although I hope you were able to stay calm during/after the Planutis Flagrant 1 issue.

Update to include games through 2/26. Debated taking VCU out of the top teams going forward but I still think they are, or should UMass have been added? Sticking to how I started this. And sorry about the wrong name ohs73, but I am sure that's nowhere near the top of your concerns right now.
