PS -- Let's agree to return this thread to the topic, ok?
Planutis has lost his shot, his confidence, and his mojo. Anyone who witnessed his play Friday would agree.
Right now, he is hurting this team.

Bobby has lost his shot from last season at St Mary's. He has never demonstrated a shot from the field nor the stripe at BONA all season.
Bobby and JUSTIN's Conference stats
BOBBY 21.4 mpg, 5.5 ppg, 38% FGs, 22% TREYS, 68% FTs, 4.4 rebs, .68 A/TO Ratio. 69 fouls MOST on the team. TO every 15.9 mins.
JUSTIN 20.2 mpg, 8.6 ppg, 45% FGs, 35% TREYS, 72% FTs, 3.2 rebs, .66 A/TO Ratio. 41 fouls. TO every 17.4 mins.
JUSTIN has the better #s (scoring, shooting, caring for the ball) except in rebs and steals. But of late JUSTIN is rebounding better.
Bobby has 22 steals to JUSTIN'S 8. He does have a nose for the ball.

The fouls really speak volumes. Bobby is overmatched at this level.

Yes I was serious on Chef...not sure why others like that he is gone. We had an open ship we did not use this season. No, I don't like that he is gone. He certainly had the talent, but he just seemed to be lost at times. I find it disgraceful to root against a player, and I always hoped the lightbulb would come on for him. I think he would have been an unknown coming in as junior, but maybe you are right.

I honestly think Bobby unfortunately is going to eat this season on a low note, but I also believe he will come back next year much improved

The fouls really speak volumes. Bobby is overmatched at this level. Below is Bobby's stats against teams with a NET under 100. I also have Justin's. ..............Bobby.........Justin ............Points..FG....Points..FG Vermont 4...(2-11)....10...(2-5) Rutgers .2...(1-3).....19...(6-11) VCU ......6...(2-4).....17...(7-19) Dayton .3....(1-3)..... 4...(2-5) RI .........5...(1-3).....12...(3-6) Duq. ......3...(1-4)..... 9...(4-9) Dav. ......0...(0-3).....12...(5-11) Bobby's season stats 5.5 ppg, FG% 38.0% Bobby's above stats 3.3 ppg, FG% 25.8% Justin's season stats 8.6 ppg, FG% 46.6% Justin's above stats 12.4 ppg, FG% 43.9% Bobby's stats significantly dropped against teams with a NET under 100. What I found surprising is Justin has a significantly better scoring average against good teams, while his shooting percentage dropped slightly. Bobby's fouls and offensive stats certainly suggests Bobby is "over matched at this level." Last week I posted Justin has more rebounds than Bobby in the last 9 games. warrennolan.com/basketball/2020/schedule/Saint-Bonaventurewww.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/bobby-planutis-1/gamelog/2020www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/justin-winston-1/gamelog/2020

If Metcalf is as talented as we hope he is, he going to eat into someone's minutes. Those minutes QMet will get will definitely be at the 4. Assuming Justin is still staring, Bobby P better improve a whole bunch or Metcalf, just on athletic talent alone, will push Bobby to the end of the bench.

If athletic talent alone was enough, Chef would be playing 30+ mpg for this team right now. If Metcalf is eating into anyone's minutes, its likely to be Carpenter...and you see what he's getting now.

Yep, Point taken!! As we all know with Schmidt, you have to play good D first before you see the floor. Bobby P is not even playing good D at the moment so that just leaves the door open....for both Bob C. and QMet

So trash a guy playing the sport he loves for the school he loves to the tune of 3-4 pages but comment on how the fully paid around for 7+ years athletic department has dropped the ball in some areas multiple times....TROLL!

Bobby showed signs of life tonight. Didn’t come off the floor in the 2nd half. Made winning plays. Hit some big shots. This is what the Bonnies need moving forward. He was engaged and effective.

I admired the kid's fortitude tonight. He missed a couple of shots early and you could hear the "moans" from the crowd. He must not have let it get him down because he just persisted and kept fighting hard, running down one loose ball I remember that landed near the corner and keeping the possession alive for the Bonnies. He then hit a couple of clutch FTs that helped us "seal the deal". I know that one stronger game won't prove to anyone that he will be a force to be reckoned with in the Bonnies' future but I think the kid deserves more credit than a lot of you are giving him so far.... Let's see where this goes.....

Let's see where this goes..... I don’t know what everyone’s expectations were surrounding Bobby, but for me I was thinking we were getting a stretch 4 who could shoot the 3 ball. So he has not met my expectation there, but I also was not counting on him for 10-12 points a night or anything either. He hasn’t been super consistent nor has he been the shooter we thought he was, but generally is a rotational piece that provides a little of everything.

Even-though his 3-pointer that didn’t count because of the shot clock was his best outside shot all year: contested but in rhythm .... it was a beauty & maybe the perfect storm of him not rushing it versus too much time to think or set-up ... hope it gave him additional confidence.

For those that like to say "I told you so" copy this comment and save it for next year. You can throw it back in my face. The Bobby you saw against Richmond, will be the Bobby of next year and even better.
