Lots to like tonight and a whole bunch to be concerned about.
OO a force Lofton missing FTs Welch missing from everywhere but grabbing every rebound Bobby P mental mistakes Lackluster 1st half with no energy Nice adjustments to open the 2nd half Lofton with 5 TOs
Strange game tonight

Certainly a disappointing game and lousy finish. Need better planning on those final possessions as we had the opportunity. Still some time but we can’t afford another bad outing. Our 3 point shooting and FT’s were crap tonight.

Lost the game at the foul line Duquesne shot worse from the foul line than we did. We lost because we had 17 turnovers, many of them unforced. And way too many empty possessions down the stretch. But give Sincere Carry credit. He took over the game late and made a couple of huge shots.

Time to call it like it is. Schmidt a coach I love has to stop with the guys who are gym rats or good in practice but can’t do it in a game.
Kaputo, Planutis , Ikpeze to an extent,
Absolute liabilities on the floor who turn it over and hurt the team. Enough of this. I don’t care if Bobby comes in at 6am and shoots until 7pm, I don’t care if he “knows the system” stop playing guys who are liabilities. Give me Winston all day, I will take a freak athletic freshman and his lumps over a real life junior airballs and stepping out of bounds three times.

Can we ever go to a zone to stop penetration for over the top dunks Yikes That and the HUGHES-STEELE-ROTROFF rotation of at least 2 of them on the floor presented positioning problems for JUSTIN and BOBBY on both ends of the floor.

Officially NCAA or bust now. Hard to see a way into the NIT. Maybe if we win out and lose in conference championship game... but still.

KYLE has been very good from the stripe until recently. Last season he hit 84%.
In the last 6 games he has uncharacteristically struggled. 10-17 (59%).
Previous 8 conf games hit 25-31 (81%). Early in the season he was #1 FT% for many weeks.
Puzzling.

OSUN post game “Learn from our mistakes,” Osunniyi said. “Get back in the gym tomorrow. Focus on La Salle. We can’t do anything else about this game. We made the mistakes, we’ll watch the film tomorrow and we’ll try to correct them, get a game plan for La Salle and try to get a ‘W’.”

Dukes got revenge. Bonnies just made too many errors. Dom missed a bunch of 3’s he normally makes. Bobby with one step forward (Richmond game), and 3 steps out of bounds tonight. Good grief.

per Cassian " Lost the game at the foul line ". Wasn't there a Coach at Bonas that once had the team shoot free throws, right after the game, because they lost the game due to their poor free throw shooting?
AND this is why I am not the Coach - unless he was hurt - I would have had Amadi in the game doing a number on Dukanes big men until he fouled out.
Once again NO noise or harassment of the visiting players from the Floor seats directly across from the Bonnies bench! SAD
