Per OTH story published tonight 3/12, the A10 has cancelled all spring sports competition, regular season and postseason, due to the C-19 global pandemic. The MAAC, of which Bona men's lacrosse is a member, also followed suit.

Have you notice the store shelves for toilet paper are empty? People are hoarding toilet paper. I hope this stops, because toilet paper is the last thing I want to run out of. I discovered Johnny Carson caused a toilet paper shortage in 1973. The culprits to toilet paper shortage of 1973. -- Mr. Whipple of Charmin and other personalities who made soft (consumer) toilet paper more desirable than commercial toilet paper. Commercial toilet paper is 1 ply, while consumer toilet paper is 2. -- Harold Froehlich a congressman, put out a press release warning the public about a possible toilet paper shortage. -- Johnny Carson made a few jokes about a toilet paper shortage after hearing about Froelich's press release. People thought Johnny Carson was being serious, causing people to hoard toilet paper. This created the toilet paper shortage of 1973. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr._Whippleen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harold_Vernon_Froehlichwww.snopes.com/fact-check/johnny-carson-tp-shortage/

Just in case some of you are like me and don't check the off topic page very often. I wanted to say I wrote a post over there about what to do now that there are no sports. Particularly for the people like me that sports are like a family member.

Just think, if the person who started this at ground zero only had ordered the chicken wings instead of the bat wings, thing would be a whole lot different.

Not trying to downplay the seriousness of this pandemic and college basketball is very far down the list of importance at the moment, but the silver lining in our lack of a conclusion this year is that it is not coinciding with what should be the relative peak of this current crop of Bonnies. If this happened next season or the season thereafter, it would be very much on par with western New York athletic history.

After I quickly surfed past the COMMUNIST NEWS NETWORK - cnn, will the Bona students be asked the shelter on campus? 2020 Haven’t heard anything, but I’d imagine Bona is going to online courses like most other places?

SBU has gone to online classes for the semester and asked students to be moved out (if at all possible) by the end of the day today. We went down and loaded up our son's stuff on Saturday. It will be strange having him home for the next 5+ months. I just hope everything is back to "normal" for the fall semester.
Go Bonnies!

Some Bona students will remain on campus. As of yesterday March 22nd there were no cases reported on campus. Here is the policy.
The only students allowed to remain on campus are:
international students who cannot travel home; those who don’t feel safe returning to a high-risk COVID-19 zone; those with limited access to technology at home to continue their studies this semester. Students who meet one of the above scenarios need to fill out this survey to apply for approval to remain on campus. Students must complete the form by Friday at 5 p.m. Students will be notified if they have been approved to remain on campus within 24 hours.

CNN: actually that stands for cable news network, and it doesn’t usually cover much news about bona class schedules/teaching arrangements
