We have :
- paradise jam (disappointing field) - Siena - UB? (Possibly twice as they are in the paradise jam) - Canisius and Niagra? - @ Hofstra?
Anybody have anything else? Would love to get St. John’s or Seton Hall on the schedule.

Was ythe Hofstra game part of the tournament and there is no return? I don't think so. On this years schedule the Mercer game says 'Boca Beach Classic.' The Hofstra game does not.

It might not say it, but that game was definitely part of the "Boca Beach Classic".

Schedule has to be made more challenging. We have New Mexico but need one more with a state name. How about one away game at Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, or Penn State.

Agreed it needs to be stronger. On the other hand, a healthy Bonnies team just needs to win these non con games and not screw the pooch.

Consider this:
Richmond in 2019-20 had a non conference schedule that included Vanderbilt, Wisconsin, Auburn, Boston College, and Alabama. The Spiders beat Vandy, Wisconsin, and BC. They went 24-7 overall and got the 2nd seed going 14-4 in what many consider the strongest A-10 in several years. All of this only got them a spot squarely on the bubble.
Getting at large bids for teams from the A-10 is gettign increasingly more difficult. The high profile conferences have been further consolidating their control of the selection process.

Since the BONNIES may be playing them twice next year, I put this in this thread, JOSIAH FREEMAN, a 6-4 SG from Virginia, just decommitted from UB.

"The Spiders beat Vandy, Wisconsin, and BC. Many times it was said it was a one bid league. The best A-10 was 1997 when 5 bids were received and all the teams won their first round games. Since losing Temple and Xavier, the A-10 has not distinguished itself. Too bad Dayton did not get the chance this season.

The A-10 had one of its better OOC win percentages in that time. It had a top 3 ranked team in Dayton. What happened back in the 1990's with a totally different membership or even before the 2013 realignment of conferences and creation of the NET has little merit when comparing to today. It is a far different landscape that is not favorable to the A-10.

Please let’s not start with the “let’s just add X to the schedule” like it’s some sort of one-way decision that our staff can make without the input of the other team and then we have to go through another off-season of posts explaining how difficult it is for ALL mid-majors to schedule decent OOC games as if those same discussions hadn’t been had each year for the better part of the last decade. Geez I’d rather see more stories on TV news about the coronavirus. Sorry if I am being cranky but I am suffering the full impact of sports-withdrawal right about now.. Maybe re-binging Mrs. Maisel will help (on season 1, episode 4 right now and it’s as good as I remember). Alternatively I still have both Duquesne games and the Richmond game on my DVR to rewatch. And then there’s replays available on ESPN+, then to the Gobonnies TV site on YouTube. But it’s not the same. We should be knee deep in the semifinals about now. And did they really cancel the Masters? Sorry if this offends anyone, but we are becoming a nation of wimps.

Rick Pitino being hired by Iona... how about a home and home with them? Once at the RC and the other at the Barclays?

Last time Pitino was at the RC he took a swing at an official.

- UB? (Possibly twice as they are in the paradise jam The UB game can be a free game that doesn’t count against the limit if the tournament approves it. The Paradise Jam is only a three game event but four games can be played in it. UB and the Bonnies can play immediately before or after the event with the approval of the event and it won’t count as a game against the season limit (freeing up another game on the schedule). They can also request that they be placed on opposite sides of the bracket so they would only ever meet in the third game of the event—reducing the chances of a rematch.
