Will our guys be allowed on campus? Does the NCAA have a plan as some schools depending on local government policy and geographical region might gain advantage by having certain teams back on campus for summer sessions when others can not? With the safety and health of all Bonaventure students and staff being the priority I sure hope Fiske can get some of these guys in the weight room this summer.

No hard facts to base this on but I don't see them getting back on campus this summer. You have the Ivy league preparing to not go back to in person classes until next spring. I hope they are being alarmist but it seems purdent to at least be prepared for that outcome.
Word on the street is Penn St. is working on a plan to make most dorms rooms singles next fall. That would be a huge financial loss for them but they are equipped to suffer a short term loss of that magnitude. As depressing and unimaginable as it might be I struggle to see college sports resuming without a vaccine and that is still months and months away.

I heard a high level source (an anonymous talk show caller) talk about a compressed college basketball season with about ten games per month in Jan/Feb/March and March madness in April. I thought that might make some sense but, then again, I'm not all that sharp.

Please, 8 weeks ago I was giddy with anticipation and readying to head to the Barclays. In the 8 weeks since, I have been told Armageddon was coming, had kids practically move back home, lost almost 20 pounds, fallen in and out of love with Laura Linney, had my business severely damaged, had the kids move back out, gained 10 pounds, and been forced to wear a mask just to buy groceries. In eight more weeks, we will be crawling toward the 4th of July. Nobody has any grasp on what the next hoop season will look like. I prefer to look forward to an NCAA run for our Bonnies!

For all the talk of exploiting kids by only paying them the value of a scholarship, room, board, books, living expenses, etc., this makes that exploitation look minor league. These are not NBA players and are not being paid big bucks to put them through a schedule like that and expect them to maintain any academic progress.

Do you think the kids would prefer a one-off compressed season over no season at all?

Do you think the kids would prefer a one-off compressed season over no season at all? A reasonable option would simply play your 20 game conference schedule for the season - the sooner these schools admit the fall semester should be written off as a remote only semester at reduced price and see you all in the spring semester - the better off all will be, Having one semester where you just push the ball forward - get 4 electives out of the way remote - is not the end of the world - in the meantime the school gains 5 more months of learning about this virus and how best to keep all the kids as safe as possible

The Classes of 2005 & 2006 were inadvertently left of the updated 2021 reunion schedule. They also will celebrate their reunion June 11-13 2021
