It will be very interesting to see who Duquesne cuts to get down to the 53 man roster.

Audible gasp! Ryan Murphy transfers from Pitt to Duquesne. Good thing ole Keith likes to keep an open scholarship just in case.
No truth to the rumor that Dambrot also works for Dominion Voting.

Maybe we can have that idiot Rudy Guliani polish up his hair and look into it? That is if he is done "tucking" in his shirt? He will have a lot of free time soon when people quit indulging the alternative universe he is living in.

The Dukes Friday night game was cancelled after a staff member tested positive, so their OOC sched is finished at 1-1. They are off until opening the A-10 on the 19th with Richmond at “home”, meaning La Roche in suburban Pittsburgh as the renovation of Palumbo into The Chuck Cooper center still isn’t finished, then they go on the road to SLU and GWU, then back to Pittsburgh for Davidson. That’s a challenging start to the conference sched. Their 9(!) newbies have barely touched the floor and I expect won’t be counted on for help anytime soon. So their returning starters had better be in great condition right away.

Update - the Dukes have scrambled and managed to add Southern Illinois (Monday) and Loyola of Chicago (Wednesday) to their OOC before opening their A-10 sched next weekend.

Neither of the Dukes added games were played and they open the A-10 Wednesday at SLU, certainly a tough starting point, at 1-1. They reportedly had all but three of their current roster of 18 sick with COVID, not just close contact issues but sickness, and the team was shut down for two weeks until resuming practices this past weekend. So they face a real challenge to get ready for the game. In a newspaper story, Dambrot notes the difficulty of essentially restarting with the absence of full squad practices, not to mention dealing with SLU, which has played numerous OOC games and come into the season with a talented, veteran team.
