oh boy. My wife is a medical professional, with a specialty in dealing with elderly patients. She would disagree with you. During an election year, everything in the news relates back to the election. Nancy Pelosi bringing up the 25th amendment was a piece of an agenda. We will see who is right in 18 or so months.

Agoo, one problem that both you and I both face is there is no truth telling from news sources. Almost all items in the news are opinion pieces, which by definition, do not make the statements the news. I am sure Russia tries to disrupt our elections. I am also sure we try to disrupt theirs. I think we both can agree on that.

It is interesting that there is so much hate out there right now. Yes, I voted for Trump. No, I have never said "cotton picking". I would recommend that all you who did vote for Biden read up on the 25th amendment. Nancy Pelosi floated it out there a few weeks ago to get a feel for the country's reaction (she did not put it out for Trump, she put the idea out there as a test). We as a country will probably be dealing with it within the next 18 months. I'm sorry, but you're just a flat out fucking idiot. Let's compare the most recent press conferences to prove how truly blinded you are by your dear leader Donald Drumpf. Biden - reads from teleprompter without any real issues Saturday night. Trump on Thursday couldn't even put a coherent sentence together as he tried to MAKE THE CASE FOR WHY HE SHOULD BE PRESIDENT AND WHY ALL OF THE VOTES HAVE BEEN RIGGED - without any evidence, mind you (unless of course you're reading Breitbart, which has no journalistic standards).
I'm sorry you have chosen the dark side. I'm sure you're experiencing your educated loved ones calling less, or ignoring current issues when they are around you because you are becoming that unapproachable crazy man who people quietly warn their friends about ahead of time if they have the misfortune of interacting with you. I'm sure you're glad that your 401k went up three percentage points when Drumpf was president (which it would have regardless of who was president). It's all worth it for selfish bastards such as yourself even if it means that erosion of democratic norms that have been the bedrock of our great nation for centuries.

This is what worries me the most about the new Democratic party. You just hate. If your feeling are hurt, the other party has to be wrong. You swear at people, attack them in the street, and do not understand history, economics, or the world beyond twitter. Go ahead and take your shots. Don't do you your homework, because that may challenge your beliefs, just accept what Twitter allows you to read.

Don't do you your homework, because that may challenge your beliefs, just accept what Twitter allows you to read. You literally just said something about Biden that wasn't based on ANY EVIDENCE. In fact, to the contrary, you ignore any evidence of cognitive decline from the person you voted for (remember all of those hospital visits to Walter Reed, which by the way, ACTUALLY HAPPENED), in favor of wild conspiracy theories that have no basis in reality. Should I ask your wife if it happened?
I don't hate anyone - I just regret that I have to live in a country with so many fools that are willing to drink the kool-aid for a person who is so transparently a fraud that it's is an incontrovertible truth.
Don't talk to me about homework - you've very clearly voted for people that have promoted trickle down economics (which IS NOT TRUE), denied climate change, ignored expert advice on an epidemiological disaster (with 210,000 people DEAD) and believe we should roll back any environmental regulations. All while promoting expensive wars and then talking about how the taxpayer shouldn't pay anything to the government.
I'm sick of you saying some utterly reprehensible thing, walking it back or masking it in acceptable language after you receive backlash, and then trying to reframe the conversation with you as a victim longing for the old days where political rhetoric was less heated. Your MO is always to say something that is clearly a right-wing lunatic talking point in a diplomatic way, and then act like you are somehow embodying a higher standard with some wolf in sheep's clothing response. Let's be real, you like your 401k and don't give a fuck about anything else. The bible says things about people like you - perhaps open one up.

As Dadster81 points out there have been 5 presidential elections where president won presidency without winning popular vote. The difference from Trump's elections is the popular vote was relatively close with difference being in the thousands, as compared to Trump's being in the millions. Year and amount President lost popular vote. -- 1824 John Quincy Adams 38 thousand votes. -- 1876 Rutherford B. Hayes 254 thousand votes. -- 1888 Benjamin Harrison 90 thousand votes. -- 2000 George W. Bush 500 thousand votes. -- 2016 Donald Trump 2.8 million votes Joe Biden currently leads Trump by 4.3 million votes. As Dadster81 states the electoral college helped to unite our Founding Fathers with the Great Compromise between large and small states, but now it divides our country. I do not think our Founding Fathers would approve of a system that allows a president to be nominated, who lost by millions of votes. Electoral College is an archaic system, which needs to be replaced; like originally voters were limited to white men, who are at least 21 years of age and own land. Governors, senators, members of congress, mayors and etc. are elected by popular vote. Why should election of our president be different. Everyone's vote for president should be equal. A person's vote from Wyoming or any other small populated state should not mean a lot more than my vote. www.history.com/news/presidents-electoral-college-popular-voteen.wikipedia.org/wiki/1824_United_States_presidential_election en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1876_United_States_presidential_election

Great points. However, we are 50 States that united. The electoral college was a limitation by state, not by who was available to vote. If you eliminate the electoral college, the flyover states will be ignored, yet required to pay into the Federal System. I truly do not believe that the US would function better if controlled by the LA, NYC, Chicago, etc. They are poorly run cities, and I cannot see how their "style" fits the other 35 or more states. The electoral college is not the reason we are divided. But eliminating it , in my opinion, will divide us more.

This type of voting fraud is what is so very dangerous. And it does not matter who is doing it . It matters that it is being done. I would think that with as Honest as Joe Biden and Kamala Harris is that they would insist the the Board of elections properly and correctly investigate and adjust the votes as they see fit.
The News media are all saying that there is no prof and that they want to see evidence - fine then let the Election Board have immediate access to all the ballots that are being held.
Trust but, verify.

I think it is important to note I am a moderate. I do not believe either Republicans or Democrats have all the good or bad candidates. Last election I would have voted for John Kasich and I would have done the same this year if he would have run. I have voted for both republican and democratic presidential candidates.
The president's actions and words are the main source of division in the country. Dadster81 states "However, we are 50 States that united" but we can't be united when we have a president who separates by: blue states and red states, people who have voted for him to those who did not, members from his own staff who are forced to sign loyalty oath and all the dishonest people are the ones who oppose him.
Electoral college does help to promote division. If presidential election was decided by the popular vote, a presidential candidate would look foolish contesting an election lost by more than 4 million votes.
Thank you Dadster81 for the intelligent and respectful responses.

This type of voting fraud is what is so very dangerous. Trump was making the same charges of voter fraud in the last election. He was not happy about losing by over 2.8 million votes. Trump setup a commission to find corruption in the 2016 presidential election. Trump claimed 6 million illegal immigrants voted in the election. Like today he said a lot of corruption was in Philadelphia. Trump's voter fraud commission was disbanded after they didn't find Trump's claim of corruption in the election. By the way Trump received more votes in Philadelphia then he received in 2016.

The electoral college is not the reason we are divided. But eliminating it , in my opinion, will divide us more. I'm amazed at how consistent you are with your bad takes. The flyover states will be ignored by whom exactly? The 70 SENATORS those "flyover" states get? Your entire argument is predicated on the idea that the president is a dictator who can just ignore states that didn't elect him. States have representation via Congress - which has to work with the president to pass legislation. How the hell will those cities you mentioned "control" the government if there was a popular vote? And "poorly run" cities lol because what - rural Kentucy is a friggin paradise?
The reality is that the Electoral College is undemocratic and gives people living in rural areas of The United States an outsized influence over the election of the president. I believe each vote should be equal, considering we, the people, are supposed to be electing THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, not the boogeyman dictator who has all the power and if urban places could vote communism will happen president of the flyover states.
Holy smokes you continue to blow my mind with how awful your logic is.
