There’s a couple big games today, Tuesday, including one on CBSSN at 6, SLU at VCU, plus UMass at Richmond on ESPN+. So by tonight, there will be some significant changes near us at the top of the standings. Looks like UMASS will return to reality in a hurry, at Richmond tonight, then finishing Monday at SLU - curious to see how they will play coming off their pause. And either SLU or VCU will go to 4 league losses tonight. So tonight is a big night, obviously.

St. Louis loses after my usual pet peeve--trying to run down the clock more (for no great reason)near end, leading to only few seconds left on shot clock and then desperate heave. Complete waste and see it over and over.
Richmond exposed UMass tonight.

Official let Rhodes call that one at the end for the winning free throws. He doesn't blow his whistle until AFTER Rhodes yelled for the foul AND SLU got the rebound...Horrible...He either should have called it right after the shot attempt or not called it at all...

A clear foul with a clearly late whistle. But with the late whistle a perfect chance for all eyes to be on TV Teddy. Just the way he likes it.

I said the same thing to my wife about TV Teddy!! What was it, 2 full seconds after the foul was committed. Unreal!

Did Travisty go ballistic?
Huge win for VCU. Without Hyland, outboarded by 15, the SLU trio of French, Perkins and Goodwin combined for 54 pts, yet the Rams found a way.
Spidey did expose those UMass Ducks. Kayoed by Cayo, among others.

The timing of that foul call was lousy and brings out suspicions, but the bottom line is that replays showed a foul was committed, actually Baldwin was hit twice, the first before the shot, the second in the act of shooting, but VCU was in the double bonus so it really didn’t matter which was applied. There was a foul or fouls that needed to be called, late or not.

I think we really want St. Louis to win it's last two games. Then, at least they are not going to meet us in the first round. They would most likely get the fourth seed depending on other winners, but at least then we won't have to play them until the semis.

Obviously a great job by the guys in many respects, including not incurring one of those late season head-scratching losses to a bottom of the league team, as with LaSalle a couple of years back. VCU must look back on that Mason loss a week or so ago and kick themselves, as that may end up the difference between first and second for them. On the other hand, our three game streak of Davidson home, then Davidson away, then GW at home was a fantastic finish to a challenging year and closing stretch. Everyone needs to chill tomorrow and Monday, instead of having the stomach juices churning all day in advance of the season finale. The gasses will start churning again soon enough. Like most on here unless we win the tournament, I won’t breathe easy until I see us announced on Selection Sunday, which I am confident will happen regardless, but, well, you know.
