This story is so odd and feels off to me. Someone out there has more info. Any rumors? Was he upsetting sponsors? Maybe getting to political on social media? Was he asking for more money? Did he want to sell the entire student section and make them blue backs? Did he make a large budget error? Maybe too many unpaid parking tickets behind the RC? Someone call 2525 and let’s get the scoop.

I think this was the right move. I just don’t think Tim Kenny had any long term vision to take St Bonaventure Bonnies basketball to the next level. Sure St Bonaventure could have renewed his contract and taken the easy way out. So what St Bonaventure made the NCAA tournament and see that is the problem. There are many Bonnies fans happy with that. I am sorry I want a NCAA national championship for Bonnies. But to win a NCAA championship someday for Western New York they need to expand their fan base into Buffalo. Again some Bonnies fans need to open there eyes to the modern era of NCAA basketball. The Toronto Blue Jays are selling out games at $100 to $200 a ticket in Buffalo. The Bonnies need to tap into some of that Buffalo sports fans money. Again if Loyola-Chicago and Gonzaga can go deep into the NCAA so can the Bonnies.
But the Bonnies aren’t doing that without expanding revenue streams to improve their facilities without expanding their Western New York fan base that isn’t happening. Yes that means games in Buffalo which I get is a sensitive subject for some Bonnies fans moving a game or two out of Reilly Center. No one is saying all Bonnies games but a few games a year in Buffalo to grow the Bonnies fan base is a good thing if it helps raise the Bonnies basketball to a national level where there taken seriously for a NCAA national championship again. Tim Kenny was to just not rocking the boat but really not improving the Bonnies revenue streams much because of really no vision of what it takes to grow Bonnies basketball brand in Western New York in my opinion. Go Bonnies! Let’s Go Buffalo

I’m not sure I agree with your reasoning for why TK was let go but many wagon posters have a strict steady as she goes policy.

Not sure anyone at Bonas has ever been let go for lack of vision, but ok that’s one theory.

The timing of this is strange. We currently do not have a President in place, correct? Shouldn’t/couldn’t this have waited a year until a new administration is put in place and allowed to get settled in? Was there something that required immediate action? Lots of questions and I doubt we will ever get a formal, official answer, just a lot of speculation about possible reasons. And soon the rumors will start.

Well his contract expired right? so it kinda did require immediate action/decision To "wait a year" they'd have to have had him agree to a 1 year contract which he probably wouldn't have wanted

The timeline makes no sense to me. Contracts are negotiated well before 3 days of expiration, so this was known for quite awhile. So who will be interim ..Barb Questa??
So Coach Schmidt's 2 direct in line bosses are gone....
