Wish him all the best! . We still need the four Pickleball courts that TK said he was going to have put in at the end of the Tennis Courts. Thank you for your time here. Since Pickleball, for the most part, is a 50 and over game, I don't think it would be a good use of Bona funds, especially where 90% of the use would probably be by nonstudents. You should take this request to the City of Olean, Allegheny, etc. There are alot of Bona sports that need those funds.

Since Pickleball, for the most part, is a 50 and over game, Data doesn't show that - false remark. Old School Perception vs. Facts. Pickleball is sky rocketing in popularity - one of the fastest growing sports in the world. Biggest participation group is 8-34. This isn't shuffleboard folks........ AGES TOTAL CORE CASUAL 6-17 16.2% 10.9% 19.1% 8-34 27.9% 14.4% 35.5% 35-54 20.9% 14.8% 24.3% 55-64 14.0% 21.3% 9.9% 65+ 21.1% 38.7% 7.7%

How is core defined?

I like Tim alot and was happy to help out the BAF where I could. He wasnt a pressure salesman like dare I say Gothard Lane. He appreciated the help and fit in as a Bonnie, not to mention his guitar playing. No one has mentioned his part in getting us through the virus. I hope there is a really good reason for this decision.

I understand they think they can get by not saying anything because of the lack of real pressure from media up there but it’s just not how a D1 program should act. They have had over 24 hours on this. If you are going to confirm to outlets you are not renewing the contract of a top 5 paid university employee and top 3 most visible face in charge of a 14million dollar budget, then be prepared to release a statement as to why. This costs no money and no resources to act like a relevant D1 program, just effort. Have to think there is a reason and by the 1st they will say something.

Why should the details of performance evaluations be made public?

Why should the details of performance evaluations be made public? Anything said would be a "fluff" statement opening up more questions, so let me make the statement: We have mutually agreed that continuation of Mr Kenney as the University Athletic Director is no longer in the best interest of the University or Mr Kinney. He will be stepping down effective May 31st, and Ms Questa will serve as the interim AD. We thank Mr Kenney for all he has done for the University and wish him well in his future endeavors. There, said, now we can move on.

The data above does not show the whole picture. From the same article you got your info from (USA Pickleball) here are some very important statistics “Casual” players - play 1-7 times a year “Core” players - play 8 or more times a year The average age for Core players is 51.5 and Casual players 35.5 years old 60% of Core players are 55 or older 79% of Casual players are 54 or younger = in other words, my comment about 50 and over is pretty spot on Also my definition of casual vs core, is the grandchild who visits their grandparents in Fl, and decides to play pickleball with Gram so they can spend time together, is "casual". Gran is probably hard "core". (and yes, I am over 50 and live in an area with probably 20 pickleball courts within a 5 mile radius.) So I still stand by my statement. Let Olean pay to put one in. On the other hand, I like the idea of a Bocce Court. Not expensive to put in, all skill levels can enjoy, and you can hold a drink while playing. I think that would be a bigger hit with the students.

a classic Bandwagon thread..... I always appreciate the misspelling of prominent Bona figures and campus facilities over and over again. Tim Kenny Riely Center, Rielly Center, etc. Go Bonnie's

While I was not a huge fan of Tim's in his first months at Bonas, especially with the badly timed and poorly thought out sale of floor seats in front the of student sections (I had no issue with the sale of other field seats), he did make a very good comeback. His push for better baseball, softball, soccer, track and field facilities and lacrosse facilities was spot on. The addition of lacrosse was a great move. I doubt very much that Dennis would have fired him. Love to know the reasoning here....seems a stretch to fire the AD as we all recover from the virus.....strange, strange move.
