Two top sports for students: CORN———— .and Beer Pong. Don’t think pickle ball is on the list esp. if it costs $ 5.

It's one thing for old, retired folks to play pickleball but if college kids start playing it then our country really is going to hell. Which means it'll probably soon be an olympic "sport."

Easy townie. Pickle is a lot of fun and pretty intense for tourney level players. Whether or not you can handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen. But watch out for dinks!

From the Kiplinger Letter, a well respected Business reporting service
Move over, tennis and golf. Pickleball is becoming the hottest new amenity at luxury real estate developments. Developers in the U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean can’t build courts fast enough. Home buyers and vacationers are increasingly attracted to the paddle sport…a combination of tennis, pingpong and badminton…even over golf. Courts, roughly one-third the size of tennis courts, are also gaining traction with homeowners’ associations and local municipalities. The sport, with its simple rules, has seen incredible growth in recent years. It has 5 million participants in the U.S. of all ages, playing competitively and for fun.

In other news, the above may be a sign, along with Hell freezing over, that the end of the world is near I completely agree. This a D-1 basketball message board. We don't need local back yard wiffle ball scores. LMFAO. Start a FB blog for pickleball news.

They were a large part of my youth. What is different now is that kids don’t have to leave the house to play a game with a friend. I remember getting on my bike and going all over the city to beat various friends in games. Whether it was East, West, South or North Olean…my motto was basically Temple and willing to whoop you anywhere/anytime. Now these kids sit in their specialty chairs and vape while gaming. As for pickle ball, it’s an old timer activity. Don’t break a hip out there moving 2 steps left or right.
