Between social media and this message board, Bona fans have been insufferable this season. Shoon just played the best game of his career, and all you guys want to do is critique his offensive repertoire. It’s funny that you guys don’t think Shoon has developed or improved much. Maybe you’re only paying attention to one side of the ball. Defensively, he’s the best big man the A10 has seen since Marcus Camby. I’m sick of you guys focusing on what a player can’t do, instead of appreciating what they can do. Shoon is absolutely gifted and you’re right above that we will miss his presence more than we think. I think you’re forgetting so I Toppin but otherwise, yes, best A10 big in awhile. With all that being said, I don’t think it’s unreasonable that he could have developed more moves than a simple post up, back down and spin (he turns it over a number of times and it’s just largely unsuccessful). He could have added a hook shot or jump shot ala Nicholson. If he had either, he’d be getting first round (NBA draft) buzz. I’m not trying to knock his ability to put up stats or his importance to this team - he will go down as one of the best big men in our history - but he’s been putting up big performances sporadically since his freshman year. Would liked to have seen other areas of growth like nearly all of our big men in recent years have shown, although admittedly nearly all of those guys started with a much lower floor / starting point. I don’t think that’s unfair criticism because with another element to his game, his ceiling would be stratospheric, but maybe that’s just me.

As for Osun's game I will describe like this --- one of his best in a Bonaventure uniform --- slam-a-jama.
Go Bonnies

Are you serious the only quality big man he face in the a10 was Tre Mitchell and he crushed OSUN the only time they met. I love the a10, but I am also very realistic. Its just not a very good anymore. In order for this league to become good again they need to trim the fat.
I would get rid of the following:
Fordham Lasalle GW

The one game I attended at G Mason I ran into a number of Bona fans. Hope we have a supporting fan base tonight. Nothing like the traveling Bona faithful. The players love seeing it.

I have noticed how GM keeps the paint open with ODURO coming out and not looking to spend a lot of time posting up. He can knock down the trey and the paint is open for JOHNSON and others to attack. That said I see him being effective posting OSUN up down deep.

I can’t put into words how much I’m over watching this group play. No energy. Limited offensively. Same start every single game
