I saw on Twitter that Landon Moore 6’3” 200 lb guard, who played his first year at st Francis, PA, was in the transfer portal and that one of the schools he had heard from with Saint Bonaventure. Landon s number at SFU, he played in 19 games, in those 19 games he averaged30+ minutes, 13,1 ppl, a little over 3 apt, 2.8 rpg, shot 42% from the field, 36% fro three and 82% from the line. It looks like he was out , no stats between 1/4/23 and 3/4/23. Landon is from Bloomington, Indiana and prepped just over the border of Ohio in Hudson. At Western reserve Academy in Hudson he averaged almost 25 points a game and hit a record 114 three-point shots, no mention of his% How about Landon and Josh Chen in a deal. I was pretty excited when I saw Cohen‘s name in the portal, he left a strong memory from our opening game this year. Early on coneheads stated that he wasn’t offering up specific names of schools he had heard from but at the time multiple conferences and I don’t recall the A10being mentioned. I can’t remember Landon s play from that game, but the stats said he was four for 10. www.hudl.com/profile/8788799/Landon-Mooresome video footage of Landon Moore from western reserve academy, while Landon is more of point guard, he can reallyshot it from three.

A guy i’d like us to take a look at? Greg Dolan. We need a true PG. Dolan is a smart, steady ball handler. Played at Williamsville South. Developed nicely as a player at Cornell. Averaged 13 pts 4 boards 4 assists this past season.

Not a bad idea... he would be a steady contributor I think The Ivy league does not allow grad students or covid-year seniors to play so he has to transfer to a different grad school if he wants to play

There are a lot of transfers and the BONA staff is very active here. Almost too active to post everyone they have contacted. Was not overly excited to see this because BONA has 2 glaring needs as I see it. But Lafayette transfer 6-7 JOSH RIVERA had a very good freshman year. The Putnam Science grad averaged 11/6/2. Could be worth taking a hard look at JOSH if additional ships were to open up.

If I'm counting right, there's only one open ship to give.
We must be expecting another departure given the range of guys we're in on.
And please don't use this comment as another jumping off point to a discussion of who is or should be leaving.

This is not a Bona-related post but kinda is and still worthy of note. Jay Wright made a bizarre and uneducated comment about transfers between games yesterday.
“It is rare for a transfer from a mid-major or smaller program to have such an impact for a major program,” said Wright, who serves as a studio analyst for CBS and has done many games this season.
Really? I believe Jay was referring to ex-Cleveland State player D’Moi Hodge who followed coach Gates to Missouri last spring, and now one of the Tigers’ top players.
How about Jalen Picket and Andrew Funk of Penn State?
How about Brockington and Holmes at Iowa State the last two seasons?
Ever hear of Duncan Robinson? All he has done is go from being a D3 star, to a Michigan starter during their three-year NCAA run under Beilein. Robinson has been in the NBA for 5 years!!
I’m sure many of you can name other players who had similar ascents in college hoops.
Not to crush Jay because he’s a likable guy and his resume says it all — but it was so off the mark and was so P6 arrogant. Sometimes commentators are better off asking a question rather than making an uneducated comment… maybe like “Can any of you remember a transfer from a smaller program making such a big impact in the tourney?”
This from a guy who rose to fame from Hofstra by way of Bucknell!!

Got our first BONNIE in the portal. VerbalCommits is reporting ANOUAR MELLOUK has entered the transfer portal. Addition by subtraction--IF Schmidt gets a terrific recruit to take his spot. We do need open spots.

Here’s another great addition by subtraction. Good luck to him. I thought he was 100% guaranteed to be staying since he already transferred once?

It is possible he earned a degree and can qualify as an immediate transfer as a grad student. It’s also possible he’s willing to sit out a year. Or the NCAA will just keep granting everyone waivers, which is what I’ve been referring to lately.

And now MAX joins the portal, and no wonder. MAX gave some decent minutes, then he was tied firmly into the SCHMIDT doghouse.
