Switching from 5 to 4 isn’t that big a deal as we may have to play VCU anyway. But I suppose one less game is sorta helpful - an extra win might help NIT opportunities. If VCU loses to Dayton, UMass beats Fordham and Bonnies win out Bona is the 4, UMass 5, and VCU 6. And Bob’s your uncle! Voila!

I always hate being the visiting team for another school's senior night. I'm not sure where GW's morale stands with such a long losing streak, but if we don't jump on them early I fear this could be a tough one. I hope I'm wrong...
Go Bonnies!

If you don't think getting the double bye is important, I just don't know what to say. Having to win 3 games instead of 4 to get in the tournament, that is what every team wants. I just told a friend about this post and he believes it is a troll job. If it is you got me. Good one!

VCU looked anything but "listless" against the DUKES. They were down two players. Their top scorer Shulga and Bellups.
If Dayton's Holmes III gets injured they are toast.

We will see how focused the guys are tonight. Someone mentioned in this thread that we play to the level of the competition. I do not totally agree. We’ve played like dog poop vs Richmond and Duquesne … way below the competition. We played bad one game vs Fordham and then beat the snot crud out of them at Rose Hill. Then we play horribly at LaSalle and play great vs LUC. So does the level of opponent matter or is it more lack of focus, motivation, intensity etc every few games? The pre-game story on GoBonnies.com mentions these important facts … telling me it’s more about US than THEM. Bonnies are 3-8 when trailing at halftime. Bonnies are 11-1 this season when hitting 10 or more 3-pointers. Bona is 16-2 when winning the turnover battle.

Pretty sure you could substitute most any team with the Bonnies on the 3 Stat lines above and their record(s) would be about the same. No revelation there.
COME OUT WITH PASSION ON D and Discipline on O and we win - Anything less and we are vulnerable.

I am looking for Noel Brown to have a big game tonight in his return to his old surroundings at GW.

Good one - Forgot about that factor. Noel has become and integral part of this team. I expect he will be super psyched for this one - hopefully getting the entire team fired up in the process.

I would argue that the Iron man 2.0 team would have different strengths than this current team. They seldom made 10 threes in a game. The often fell behind and rallied in the second half. They were excellent, despite only playing 6 guys, at wearing down opponents with their half court sets … and executing down the stretch.

Winning the next two and earning the Double BYE is a big deal.

Less chase mode more anticipation of passing lanes.
