Let's go Bonas.....Bonas lets go!! We never chanted about the "Bonnies".........if the NYC media wanted to name us that, so be it. We never called ourselves the "Bonnies", and actually I have no freakin' what a "Bonnie" is. When I see fellow alums in Florida or SC ......we always say Go Bonas! Just more politically correct nonsense........encouraged by some nun ! This is getting nowhere so let’s change the subject. How are your Bonas doing on the recruiting trail? |

I have newspaper clippings from the late 1940s that my Dad saved about SBU football games. In more than one of them our alma mater’s football team is referred to as “the Bonnies”. It’s just another nickname for our sports teams. Time to get over it.
