I don't feel that many people are appreciating the importance of the improved point guard play that we are going to be seeing this season with the arrival of Tyler "Peaches" Relph. Our frontcourt should be better with the arrival of Williams, Kovacevic, and Fox, though it won't be dynamite. Mind you, one of our biggest problems last season was the inability of the young Carson to handle pressure on a consistent basis. With the addition of Peaches and Terron Diggs, this will enhance our team's ability to handle pressure a great deal. Also, Carson will be able to fit into a role that fits his strengths as a powerful off-guard with the ability to get to the rim. Obviously, in the guard-dominant A-10, this is going to be a crucial aspect to our team's chances this season. I think we're going to see more wins than most people are anticipating, considering the improved backcourt and soft schedule. Go Peaches. Go Bonas.

I dont think that relph will be the savior many assume he will be. Will he be an improvemnt? Yes... but i think mike lee is the the person who has the ability to change this team. With the ability to play the 3 or the 4 i think that Mlee is the most important player to the team in the coming year. You are correct in saying the Atlantic 10 is guard dominated. David West from a few years ago proved how deadly a quality forward could be in this league. I am in no way saying that Mlee is David West but i am saying that a quality forward makes a bigger impact in this league than a quality pg. I do believe that Relph will be an important part of the puzzle in the coming year, but i do not think that he will be the most important person on this squad. I think that burden falls on micheal lee. Mlee is the most important person on this team and i do not think that relphs play will have as much as an affect as Mlee's.

at the colloegiate level, solid play at the point is critical to a teams success. The arrival of Relph and the expeience of Diggs along with the maturity of Carson should all translate to a winning OOC record.
To win in conference, we will need improved play in the post. An inside presence frees up the perimeter for open looks. Hopefully Williams or the "Beast" will provide that. Lee will be a special player.....

I believe Relph will challenge Ahmad as the leading scorer of the team. I've seen few posts underestimating the importance Relph will make to the team. This team has 4 quality starters with Ahmad, Tyler, Lee, Lottin or Dunston. Also add the exciting potential of AJ Hawkins and you have a talented team. IMHO the only question mark is at center, but still I have to believe Ivan and Paul would be an improvement from last year. I agree with Mangham that solid post play helps to create open looks from the perimeter, but it is not critical to the teams success. Look at the 2001- 02 NIT team, they had Robert Cheeks at center.
This is a talented team with the potential to have 3 All A-10 players (Ahmad, Relph and Lee). It is also a veteran team with 8 upperclassmen and only 4 underclassmen. The Bonnies also have a very weak schedule. IMHO Solomon's coaching is critical to this team., because all the parts are there to see a significant improvement in this team.

My thoughts exactly, Chuck. Hopefully we can build on a few wins and solid recruiting class this fall.
