Always glad to see my man Timmy Higgins doing the game. I know some don't agree but he did the Rutgers game last year. Andrew tremendous with I believe 12 or 14 pts. Great lob passes into him. They are beating us from the stripe & their guard penetration. We are attacking the zone perfectly & Chris is knocking them down

Andrew Nicholson ejected after refs look at instant replay.

I have been listening to the game, shocked with the T on the professor. I wonder what precipitated the action from Nicholson, I imagine it was more retaliation. But ten minutes without Dr. Nicholson is not what anyone would want for the Brown and White. Ogo is doing reasonably well, I was hoping for some more 3's from Matthews but all in all the Bonnies are fighting to the end. Not like the Mississippi State nightmare. Lets hope this toughens the team up for Niagara, which will be no cake walk.

Hope Coach Schmidt can shed some light on what happened. Maybe Timmy Higgins went overboard. Andrew, himself, will probably speak up when he returns to campus.

Andrew wasnt hit with a T, he was ejected with a flagrant kneeing or kicking Rautins in the jewels. Its really hard to tell on the replays if it was intentional or not but the refs deemed it that and ejected him. It does not seem like something he would do. I dont think he would have made a huge difference in the end as he had a quiet 2nd half prior to the incident. I hope there is no suspension out of this. Overall a decent effort by the Bonnies against a very good team. We just didnt have enough to pull it off but if they can show up like this in the A 10, it should be a successful season

I don't agree with "don't think it would have made a huge difference", there was over 8:30 left and JACKSON was on the bench with foul problems. HIGGINS is too old to ref since there was no technical. Whineheim lost his center ONUAKU so this evened out nicely. RAUTINS, the cry baby probably didn't even know what happened. I seriously doubt NICHOLSON would intentially do this to anyone especially a fellow Canadian, yes, although little Andy went to school in the states he can play on Canadian teams. To me it looked like ANDREW's heel caught RAUTINS by accident when he ran by. The announcers on WARNER had been doing well up til this but these idiots would have had ANDREW arrested if possible. BTW, why didn't ROSEBORO come in when ANDREW left? Any truth to the post on the BEVEL that BRETT had should surgery this week? Anyway, good game BONNIES, beat the Eagles!

My bad on ROSEBORO, it wasn't shoulder surgery on BRETT.

I am in agreement with KcSBU03, if tonights performance is a realistic indicator of where the Bonnies are at, they should be very competitive in the A-10. Small consolation but tonights victory for Syracuse by 13 was the second closest margin since their Florida victory by 12. The Bonnies worked hard, and showed they could mix it up with a top ten program on their court. Obviously it would be sweeeeet to knock off Niagara up at the Gallagher Center on Tuesday, that will not be a cake walk either. But the Bonnies are showing improvement and I am expecting them to beat the Purple Eagles in a nail biter, my early prediction is 71- to 67. It will be nice to have Nicholson for a full game too.

Typical Syracuse "home job." I had the game on DVR. I replayed that incident 20 times and there was absolutely no "flagrant foul." In fact, there was no foul ever called by the ref's. After time out was called, the old guy went over and reviewed the replay and saw that Andrew ran passed Rautins. If there was any real contact, he could have called a foul. But to call a "Flagrant Foul" was absurd. The replay shows no intentional attempt to injure another player. Rautins did a great acting job. I like him as a player but he is a real whole season long crybaby. He got up pretty quick, threw the foul shots and banged away the rest of the game for a guy in serious pain. The TV announcer commented that this really hurts Andy's career. I am sure that the idiots who run the Atlantic 10 will now have to suspend him from a number of games. It sure looked accidental at best. Overall the Bonnies looked good and fought hard in spite of the ref's.

The video stream did not pick up the Nicholson flagrant foul causing his ejection. When Higgins was explaining the call to Schmidt there was absolutely no protest or questioning of the call from Mark. He just listened nodding his head that he did not contest the ejection. Sad end to a fine game by The Professor.
Never like to see a loss but really liked what I saw from the team. They were well coached on how to beat the Cuse zone & executed their plays very well. Only Florida's loss by 12 comes close to our 13 point loss & we were in their house with 20K plus.

the fact that Schmidt didn't argue the ejection call was peculiar...

Maybe he figure "what is the point to?", HIGGINS wasn't going to overrule himself.

I'm far less concerned at this point about the effect of Andrew's ejection on this game than I am about its impact on Andrew. Whether that impact be some kind of punishment or his being someone the refs look for.

Andrew has improved in avoiding getting into early foul trouble. Tonight he was whistled for first foul well into the second half & then the ejection. The incident happened right after Rautin nailed the 2nd of his back to treys to open up a comfortable lead for the first time all night. Hopefull there is nothing in the tape to warrant further action.
