Nice job jh, hope you got the job done. My friends and I were at the little table picking up our tickets when Kyle came up behind us to get his. We said everything we could to talk up the school.

If Alexander does go down to Pitt.....depending on when he goes, he could be sitting in front of 13,000 watching the Panthers go up against Syracuse....or maybe North Carolina. And this after the Panthers just put down the top ten rated Irish. This recruiting battle reminds me of the one we had with Syracuse over Olden Polynice. Let's hope we win this one!

Actually the battle I remember with Syracuse was over Roosevelt Bouie. At the time, our respective programs were on equal ground if not leaning towards our side. Bouie going to Cuse dramatically changed the course of both programs and we were so so close to landing him. Boeheim admits in his book that Bouie changed the course of the history of Syracuse basketball. Maybe the landing of Kyle Alexander will result in similar fortune for us.

You are absolutely correct! In the back of my mind I was thinking it wasn't Polynice...just couldn't remember who it was!

I've always heard that we were in on Polynice, but he ended up at Virginia.

Adam Z of ZAGSBLOG is reporting that Joe Alexander told him that his son KYLE "enjoyed" his visit to St. Bonaventure.

"We love you Kyle but we love 8 other guys as well. Even though we offered you, we'll get back to you soon" And then next year, they won't hesitate to recruit over him if some 4 or 5 star recruit at his position becomes available and shows interest in Pitt. Which is why a thousand kids will transfer out of D1 programs this year.
