Jordan Martin visits this weekend. JUCO big man. Jordan tweeted that this will be his first visit. 6'8", 220. Averaged 8ppg, 5rpg. The Vols finish the 2014-15 season with an overall record of 27-7, including Great Rivers Athletic, Region 24 and District 16 championships. Martin had 4 points in upset loss to 23rd-seed Cape Fear Sea Devils who rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit (32-24) to upset No. 10 seed, John A. Logan, 76-66, in opening-round action of the National Junior College Athletic Association men's basketball national finals.

Sure sounds like Chris Dees 2.0. Which isnt a bad thing, just reminds me of Dees.

I found interesting that Graysen Allen, the breakout star in Duke's win the other night, was a teammate of Ladarien Griffin at Providence High last year. In fact, Allen was a McDonalds All American last year and Providence won a state title this year with Griffin. Griffin comes from a top Florida high school program and obviously has faced elite competition. Exciting prospect.

5 more days until the start of the signing period. Things have been quiet lately on the Canadian front....almost too quiet. I hope coach Robinson can come through for us with some of the names that have been mentioned over the past few months.
Nothing against good old American players - I would be very happy to sign solid made-in-the USA kids too.

It appears KYLE ALEXANDER fractured his wrist a few months ago and should be cleared to play in the Canadian HS all star game. He also held an offer from Rick Barnes while he was with Texas.

How long before we hear anything this year? And how many? Seems really quiet. I bet the names that eventually come out are surprises. I know one that I hope will not be a surprise name.

A 6'9 center who played 22 minutes a night and got the line all of 10 times in 13 games? I'll pass, which is more than I can say for Nick Madray who had 4 assists total. And he shot 37.5% from the floor.
He wasn't a good player at the level he was at and he'll be worse at this level.

No follow up on supposed Jordan Martin visit. No visits set up for this weekend that I am aware of. No information on Alexander other than they are now taking other visits. Kaputo has not decided if he will re-classify. Shakir Brown off on actual school visits. This is just the tip of the iceberg and I don't feel warm and fuzzy about the direction. How can MS be in Florida and interested in a 2016 new target when we only have half a roster at a very critical time period? Guess he will only play 6 anyway!

I decided to hope he has high confidence in this year's class turning out well.[/ I just read a post on facebook by John Hayes, he of the undefeated " ironman" team of ....'67-68...? Basketball is basketball......still a forty minute game. You still have to run up and down the court. Why didn't the " ironmen" get...... tired at the end of the season......have their jump shots fall short late in games......complain they had no rest? How could they not lose? Weren't they tired?? John posted that the team got 39 points from the bench........ For the season!!!! 39 points! John Hayes was a great player from Niagara Falls......a great Bonnie, on one of the greatest Bonnie teams. Maybe you think they don't make 'em like they used to....

His 11/16 game where he scored 16 points in a minute is pretty impressive.
