As I understand it, the "Full Cost of Attendance" for an institution is already defined and stated in the cost used to compute student aid. There is already controversy among the big boys regarding how the amount differs from school to school.
Bona lists personal costs of $700 and transportation of $700 on its web site. I think these are the costs that are now considered the missing pieces of the full cost of attendance. Those amounts are significantly lower than what I am used to seeing at bigger, urban schools.

Good news for basketball and will likely make it even harder for programs like WLax, MSoccer, and baseball/softball. SBU will keep basketball as a premier sport on the national stage but with limited funds the increase in funding has to come from somewhere...
Interesting what happens with UMass. They have high level basketball, ice hockey, and have been pouring resources into FBS football. This will result in a lot more expense for them to stay in the arms race.
I do wonder how many other conferences will be following along. Will the West Coast Conference or Mountain West? Will the MAC or the MAAC? This could be a good thing for the A10 since schools that are trying to balance a focus on football and basketball like BYU, Buffalo, or UMass will have a little bit of a harder time than a LaSalle, SBU, or Dayton.
