VCU senior point guard Briante Weber tore his ACL/MCL today in VCU's loss to Richmond. His career ends 12 steals short of the all time NCAA record. VCU will be a different team without him leading their defensive attack atop the key and in the press. A really sad story to hear, tough break for he and VCU's team/fanbase...their NCAA hopes cannot be nearly as bright tonight. Expect VCU to drop a few spots in the top 25 this week...and for them to come into the RC breathing fire. www.thebonablog.com

I was watching live --- painful. Speaks to his character that moments later he wanted to be back on the bench in crutches supporting his teammates. He embodies everything that VCU basketball is about. Speed and tenacious defense.

Agree. Was a sad scene to watch. The kids leadership will be missed. Hate to see an injury like that. Wish him a quick recovery.
