Well, no one started the thread, so here it is. No one should forget the 1st meeting, a game lost, but then won on the back of fantastic shooting by Marcus Posley, scoring 12 points in the last 2:36, fiishing it off with a 3 pointer to tie the game at 90. Posley scored 36 points. gobonnies.sbu.edu/sports/m-baskbl/2014-15/releases/201502270w2ttcWe need this win. Can our guards contain Colter and Mason, which will be a big challenge. The RC needs to rock. The game is streamed...start time is 4 pm.

The Dukes deep bench allows lots of fresh legs as 10 will see PT. Colter (46% Treys) and Macon (43% Treys) must be salivating as our game tapes show how team’s light it up from outside the arc.
I’m sure the Dukes are looking to revenge Marcus scoring 12 pts in the final 2 ½ mins of regulation to tie the game they felt they had won. Of course Marcus is slumping badly & Jay, who hit the game winner, will be an observer.
They have no rebounding stud. They rebound by committee so a body has to be kept on everyone. In their last 5 games they have impressive wins over Dayton, St Louis & GW.
No doubt the RC crowd will provide seniors Youssou, Andel, Chris & Opeyemi a warm farewell as they play in their final RC game in front of the student body. Too bad Jordan Gathers is not there to soak it in. Maybe some students or fans will make signs thanking him for his “Good Journey” at Bona. He is missed!

Its not Senior Day. March 7 is the last home game.
I am scared to death of this game. We cant defend the 3 and they have 2 guys who can light it up. We cant win a track meet like last time, we cant even top 70 pts anymore.

Sorry lushes, back to basketball(only kidding, I plan to be drinking multiple beers after game too!) Maybe our old DUQUESNE pal AOXOMOXOA could help out with this but, in the first meeting between the DUKES & BONNIES, the DUKES' JORDAN STEVENS had 13 points, shot 3-5 from beyond the arc and had 6 assists while 6-6 TYSEAN POWELL had 13 points and 8 rebounds. I believe both players have been recently suspended by their coach? Not sure if POWELL will miss today's game but it sounds like STEVENS will.

Ran out very quickly after the VCU game. They ran out after the La Salle game too, they went out and bought 30 packs to sell. The crowds there have been consistent on game days, you would think they would be prepared for them? Being alumni weekend, I am sure they are fully stocked.

Powell should play today but not Stevens. They were both suspended at the same time and Powell was back for the next game while Stevens has not been seen at games since. There has been no word as to what his offense was and I'm thinking he's gone for good.
The last game between out schools was probably the most bitter defeat at home to the Brown Indians that I can remember. Even surpassing 1984 when Earl Belcher hit a buzzer beater at the Civic Arena to give SBU a 61-60 win. The Bonnies are rightly favored today but the way these teams have traded upset wins over the years has me thinking it's the dukes turn to send the hometown fans home in a foul mood. If the Dukes are to win I think it will be because both Mason and Colter have big scoring days.
And an upset would put me in a better mood. I've been unable to purchase tickets for the 50th anniversary Grateful Dead shows in Chicago.

St. Bonaventure will honor seniors Youssou Ndoye, Andell Cumberbatch, Chris Dees and Opeyemi Olomo prior to the game. Although the Bonnies have one more home game, this will be the last game with students on campus as the University's Spring Break starts March 7. This is also Homecoming Weekend on campus.

And Jerry's dead.

Well, Mr. Posley is certainly feeling it today. Last 3 before the half was from 'Greg Sanders range'.
