Why not a happy face?? ? What am I missing ? I'm with Oldcoach, where is the happy face. Nelson Kaputo is Northpole's 8th ranked player in Canada. He is a pure PG that can create scoring opportunities for his teammates by breaking down a defense with his drives to the basket. Nelson is a really good signing for the Bonnies. Check out following from Northpole. 8. Nelson Kaputo | 2016 | 6’0 | PG | St. Michael’s The lead point guard on the number one high school team in the country is Nelson Kaputo. Its a matter of time that his recruitment picked up and things will continue to heat up for him as his team makes a run toward another provincial championship at OFSAA. Nelson’s three point shooting has caught fire as he’s tightened up his base for a more balanced release. He’s had his way with opponents both in the U. S and in Canada, breaking them down off the dribble and really hurting teams by penetrating to draw in the defense and kicking out for snipers. Even if an opponent has studied Nelson’s game, he’s hard to guard because there’s so many ways he can contribute. Dominant left, and it don’t matter. northpolehoops.com/2015/01/25/canadian-2016-nphtop10-national-player-rankings-welcome-thon-maker/#.VUY10HvcoxI

It's also possible that he will be eligible in 2015, no?

Kaputo is an interesting conundrum. The best scenario would be to have a two year space between he and Jay. I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking though about what it would be like to give the best PG in Canada an entire year for one of any number of scenarios to occur. I absolutely hope he qualifies, and signs in blood. Put both guards on the floor if necessary

Why not a happy face?? ? What am I missing ? Fact is he is reclassifying 2015. I think the sad face was because he is still listed as 2016 on verbalcommits, but he is definitely reclassifying, and we'll need him in 2015.

Does this mean he is attempting to reclassify, or that the process has been successfully completed. And if he has successfully reclassified, does that mean he is for-sure eligible, or is that a separate process ? And if this works out, please let's not quibble about wishing Kaputo was 2 years behind Jay for better "spacing." It's called "an embarrassment of riches". Both of these kids can shoot and/or get to the basket. They can be on the court at the same time, no problem.

Kaputo is a stud. I have seen him play against NYC teams and he is the star. He's lighting quick and a great defender. He's a different kind of pg from jay so they will compliment each other.

Best 5 should play. 3 6-1 guards on the court at the same time? Why not!

Just think back on where we were a year ago. Is the staff EVER going to get an A10 quality point guard? now look at things. We look to be set for half a friggin' decade now. Maybe my views are through rose colored glasses and yes I know what a highlight reel is, but this Kaputo kid looks like a potential all-league caliber-type player - so quick and lefties who can create AND MAKE their own shots are a bonus in this league or anywhere. But what a difference a year makes! Yet this time next year we'll be sweating out something else -like how are we EVER going to replace Marcus' production? It'll be something for sure.

I am both happy and "sweating". I want some bulk inside or another 7' shot blocker.

I have heard many positive things about Stockard. Kaputo has a very high ceiling I have faith in Schmidt and company to land 2 solid bigs and do what's best with the remaining scholarship(s).
