Thanks to both of you for your answers.
I had always thought (I guess mistakenly) that an LPN was 2 years and an RN was 4 years. I never even knew there was a BSN.
So, the proposal is to start a nursing program that would be a BSN? And, what is the RN TO BSN part of that?

BSN can take an exam to become a licensed RN. Like an accounting major can take an exam to become a CPA. State licensed, need to take continuing ed to maintain license.
An LPN is like an RN "light". Need to take an exam to become licensed. Courses are offered by BOCES, business schools, etc. Not as intense as an RN, cannot do the same level of work, etc.
