Thanks 'thesenator' for the idea, Monday I will call admissions and see if they can supply be with some brochures and business cards. I am almost training kids five days aweek doing soccer sessions for different soccer clubs around Conn. and Mass. and Rhody, constantly exposed to possible future Bonnies. I am on it!!

I am on it!! good for you, mm77...keep us informed here on how many inquiries you're getting and how many brochures/business cards you're handing out...this could be something others of us on this board do as well...who knows?...this could be the way to spur interest in bonas and lead down the road to an increase in applications/enrollment...worth a try...

The Times Herald reports:
Roughly 400 freshmen arrived on campus Thursday, with transfer students and upperclassmen expected to arrive Saturday and Sunday.

Well thesenator I sent an email expressing my willingness to help recruit students in my capacity as a soccer trainer at camps and clinics to Director of Volunteer Relations and Events 48 hours ago. I hopes of receiving brochures and some business cards like you mentioned. No response yet from that individual or the admissions department in regards to my request. Do you think I was out of line asking for such materials?

Here's hoping the new Admissions Director takes you up on your offer, or minimally reaches out to pursue the thought!

Good news, I received a very informative message from admissions office in regards to how I can get involved in recruiting. They will send me brochures and further materials to assist me in communicating with high school soccer players that I come in contact with in regards to Bona's. I was directed to the SHARE program which I immediately signed up for to help in recruiting. I am a retired jumping jack teacher, with loads of time and energy outside of my soccer clinics, so maybe I can be of some help. I live and breathe Bona's Brown White all year, and would be honored to assist our alma mater in any way I can. I do not have a business background at all, but I have a deep love for Bona's and the gift of yakety yak that any coach would have. So let the games begin, and thanks thesenator for putting a fire in me to do something positive.

Awesome MM77! Thanks for hearing the call and stepping up to help. The University needs all alums to do that whether in the form of time, treasure or talent (or a combination of the three). Your giving of your time and talent will make a difference.
Enough complaining let's do something positive.

bbb admissions office sent me the link to the SHARE program when I contacted them. I just spent a few minutes trying to find it and had no luck at all. I sent an email to Monica at admissions for help and will get back to you with the link.

The apostrophe s is dropped in the link above because of the board. Here it is corrected: bit.ly/1NNz0OK
