Nice to see them getting Woods involved early, def nice seeing Posley go off again, and especially sweet getting a win in Canisisus when Wright only plays 4 minutes in the 1st half!.. Solid win Bona's..

The D was there for Bona tonight, holding a 90-pt avg Griff five to 73. McMillan got most of his pts at the stripe. A team win in the truest sense.
Also good to see the Bona ladies rediscovered their shot making skills and beat Detroit.

I was impressed by Woods....especially his early game....really helped us show we were in it to stay with some great hustle and buckets....

I was impressed by Woods....especially his early game....really helped us show we were in it to stay with some great hustle and buckets.... I think Woods actually deserves a couple of Low Post plays to run his way. Could lead to some nice High-low 2 man game action for our guards. He has to be patient when the play runs his way, that is so tough for a freshman.

Money line Baby!!! Foul line wins the game - great way to finish. But should have pulled away. My 9 point prediction could have come through. we would've won by at least 9, but 2 of our starters (jay and idris combined for only 8 pts) and nelson and denzell combined for only 10 pts off the bench...but i'm not complaining...it says a lot about a team when you can still win (especially on the road vs a long-time rival) when everyone's not playing their "a" game...

One thing I really want to point out, was/is Posley's leadership tonight, and I'm not talking about his scoring (tho that was def impressive). But he consistently took the younger players aside, usually after a bad foul, calmed them down, and kept everyone's heads in the game! Also, at the line, talking to each player before they shot, just taking that second, and taking a moment to breathe..

Folks I rechecked the Bona record book and it verifies tonight was mtg #164 and going into tonight it was 98-65 Bona. Tonight's victory is #99, a number famous in Bonnie lore. Go for the big 100 vs Canisius at the RC next year.

Tell you one thing -- the A-10 will be uber-tough this winter based on early season results. GW in top 25, Mason better, Duquesne is 4-1, URI and Davidson will be right there along w VCU and usual suspect UD. LaSalle is also off to good start. Can't see SJU having another down year.
Even up 9-9 may be viable for Bona in league. Have to get as many non con wins as possible.

Little 3 games are about seniors and we had the better ones tonight. Big game for both, Marcus from start to finish and Dion for being patient and refusing to quit or get frustrated and sloppy but instead staying wth his game. But boy they really had me scared when they lost the Mo. and the game seemed to be slipping away. So much the sweeter to see them come back to life and pull it out. I thought maybe Kaputo could/should have replaced Adams and given Marcus a rest midway through the second half when those two looked a little tired but the staff obviously could read their energy level better. Just made myself a nice Bloody Mary to try and calm down my nerves. Loved those old pix of Jimmy B. on the broadcast - ah the 70's - Including the 70's porn mustache!

Huge win. Major contributions from Marcus and most of all the whole team. Looked like the better team against a tough opponent beginning to end despite foul trouble.

Always nice to beat Jimmy and win on the road, but man, what a tame atmosphere at the world-class KAC. Usually is pretty loud when Bona goes up there, but that wasn't the case tonight. Very quick exchange between Schmidt and Baron after the game.
I know so many on this board are enamored with Baron, but I personally don't care for him. Don't mean to start a debate, BUT I'll take Schmidt any day over that burnout.
Now on to Hofstra....and Mihalic. Go Bona's
