Biggest fear tomorrow isn't playing Rhody, it's playing the refs? People will ask why, and I will simply tell them because the A10 will do anything to try to get as many bids as possible, they know Rhody is on the bubble... We shall soon see Whoever likes this is insane... You are already making excuses for a possible loss.... Geez what a loser mentality.

Justice would be wining the A10 and bumping Syracuse out of the tourney by taking up an at large. A Bona win over Rhody today likely knocks RI off the bubble, which means it helps Cuse. A lot of Cuse fans are pulling for the Bonnies today.

Didn't help us with the refs last year against Davidson, 5k... Last year we were firmly in by almost all bracketologists on the Bracket Matrix, predicting a 9 or 10 seed. The snub was unprecedented and unpredictable. Davidson advancing last year might have been seen as a good thing for the league by the insiders, maybe one more team in the NCAA. URI on the other hand is now the last team in on the Bracket Matrix. If they lose today they are NIT bound almost certainly. If they lose tomorrow to Dayton in a good game they have a chance. Justice for SBU would be to beat URI and knock them out of the NCAA tourney, and then go on to win the A10 Championship. It's going to happen ... www.bracketmatrix.com/Really? Davidson would have had to win the tournament.... Come on.... Just watch the games and stop making excuses.... Already the excuses happen before the game even starts.... Bona5000 started this.... Well if we don't win its because of the referees they want us to lose... Honestly don't watch if you are already making up excuses before the game.... Guess what SBU will lose if URI scores more points / the same if SBU does it to URI....

I'm not making any excuses, I believe we can hang with Rhode Island. All I am saying is that in every sport at every level certain teams and certain players always get the calls. It seems to me this year that there is a love fest for Rhode Island. It's not an excuse I'm just curious to see how the game will be called, Rhode Island tries to bully people. As for other losses I have not once blamed the refs, all I am saying is that Rhode Island seems to get spoken about all the time how talented they are and I have watched about a dozen games of theirs, and the whole "freedom of movement" concept the NCAA has initiated doesn't seem to be called against them, which makes it very difficult for guards to move and be successful. It is what it is, and I believe we will win today. Nothing more, nothing less. Go Bona!

Will be interesting how Rhody comes out knowing there is very little margin for error in sitting right on the edge of the bubble. Do they come out business like and get things done or do nerves take over? Hopefully the BONNIES come out loose and active.

Since Rhody is on the bubble, this game will get national attention. Bonnies should embrace the opportunity to showcase the program.

Getting off to a good start will be key. The tighter the game the more the pressure gets to URI. Going to really need a complete game on the boards. I'd expect our zone to give them trouble and force them to take jumpers but I'm worried about rebounding out of it. Denzel needs to stay on the floor. We can do this! Let's Go! Unfurl the Brown and White!

I think this game comes down to Rebounding and Free throws. Rhody only shoots 65% from the stripe. We need to keep Iverson and Martin off the boards, as much as possible.

To illuminate the obvious, my point is that the NCAA bracketology predictions for URI (2017) and Bona (2016) are very different. Bona was in a much better position last year than URI is this year. My point was not to make excuses. And of course, Davidson last year would have had to win the tournament to get an NCAA bid (as is obvious to anyone who follows A10 basketball).

For those of you who are into this, the point spread started at 4 this morning, now has URI as a 6 point favorite. Congrats Davidson, the first of a couple upsets today!

Just reading URI blog and they are definitely looking past our game and trying to figure they will be in the finals. Coach Hurley seemed very cocky in his pregame interview. As he said they protect the rim and are strong and long. They are locked in. Very confident.
