Is he playing at PSA? Injured? Can't remember a commit with so little news or updates. It's a slow week so thought I would ask.

In terms of scoring, Miles Rose had a very slow start. Minimal scoring in November and December. Picked up in January averaging around 5 ppg. Really improved his game during February. 11 games in February, Miles scored 97 points, averaging 8.8 ppg. Need to remember points are spread around as Putnam's coach uses a lot of players. This is shown by Putnam already having 6 players signed with D-1 schools (this does not include 4 other players, who have been offered by Bona; Will-Loving Watts, Darryl Buddy Simmons, Duane Thompson and Ramsay Checo). Also need to remember Osun and Kyle averaged 10 ppg at Putnam, while Barry averaged 10.9 ppg. Miles scored his career high 20 points on Valentines Day. Following is Miles scoring during February. 25th scored 5 points (Putnam's 5th leading scorer for game) 24th - 9 (4th leading scorer) 21 - 8 (6th) 18 - 5 (8th) 15 - 13 (3rd leading scorer) 14 - 20 points (2nd leading scorer) 12 - 11 (2nd leading scorer) 10 - 6 (6th) 9 - 6 (5th) 5 - 8 (5th) 4 - 6 (8th) 2 - not listed twitter.com/PSAhoops?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5EauthorCheck out Putnam's tall and talented roster. www.recruitthebronx.com/index.php/news/news_details/19013

Chuck - thanks for the info and link as I had the same question as mugs. I guess just playing for PSA is enough, given the roster - we're just not going to see Brett- or Dom- like numbers from anyone in that Program.

Miles Rose last 7 games has been really impressive. During this stretch Miles is Putnam’s 3rd leading scorer with 71 points and is averaging 10 points ppg. Dioubate with 102 points and Ahmed with 90 are the only 2 players with more points than Miles. What makes Miles scoring so impressive is the talent he is competing with on a stacked Putnam team. 3 players have already signed with P-6 schools. Altogether the following 7 players received 28 P-6 offers. — Mouhamed Dioubate signed with Alabama, had 11 P-6 offers. — Baye Ndongo signed with Rutgers had 7 P-6 offers. — Blake Barkley signed with Northwestern. — Ben Ahmed with 3 P-6 offers (Iowa, Texas Tech and Rutgers). — Duane Thompson with 2 P-6 offers (Seton Hall and Virginia Tech). — Oswin Erhunmwunse with 3 P-6 offers (Iowa, Texas Tech and Rutgers). — Tarique Foster with 1 P-6 offer (Mississippi State). He signed with VCU. In comparison Putnam’s 2018 National Prep Championship team had just 2 starters who received P-6 offers (Akok and Osun). Overall the starters on this team had impressive collegiate careers. — Kyle — Osun — Akok is a starter at Georgetown, averaging 6.5 ppg. Has started all 31 games. — Josh Mballa was Canisius starting center averaging 13.0 ppg. — Jose Perez is leading scorer for Manhattan averaging 18.9 ppg. With an exceptionally talented Putnam team, it is impressive Miles is the 3rd leading scorer (over the last 7 games). Just being a starter on such a talented team is impressive. Putnam team finished the regular season ranked #1 nationally among prep schools. National Prep Championship Tournament starts next Wednesday. It will be interesting to see if Miles can continue with his recent scoring prowess. twitter.com/AthleticsPsawww.verbalcommits.com/player-search

Is Rose a combo guard or a pure PG? Schmidt called him a scoring combo guard in the press release announcing his signing.

Rose has a 6’9 wingspan, that’s amazing for a guard
I also think it’s cool we will have a Rose and Flowers

Pumped to see Miiles back! He oozes potential and athleticism. Do we know the status of his redshirt? I think we see some Putnam transfers.

Pumped to see Miles back! He oozes potential and athleticism. I think we see some Putnam transfers. Agree with Miles "oozes with athleticism." Solid defensive player, who can take it to the basket. Last summer during pickup games, his jump shot was alright. Miles spent a lot of time working on his jump shot. Looking forward to an improved jump shot from Miles this summer. Alabama's freshman 6'7" Mouhamed Dioubate is a Putnam player I would like to see at Bona. Dioubate was a star at John Bowne High School in Queens and at Putnam. I wonder how difficult it was for him to adjust to playing just 8.1 minutes per game at Alabama. Could we see his name in the portal? Following is from Putnam's website. -- Was named the Power 5 Conference Player of the Year -- Was named New England Player of the Year -- Became PSA’s all-time leading rebounder -- Became just the fourth player in PSA history with 1,000 career points -- Won a second national prep school championship -- Was named Most Valuable Player of the National Tournament www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/mouhamed-dioubate-1.htmlputnamscience.org/sports/mens-prep-wins-the-national-prep-championship-copy/
