Rumor has it College of Charleston might be joining the conference at year's end...thoughts? 2 NCAAs in the last 25 years.

I’d love to see C of C join. Nice arena in a great city.

Agreed, I believe it would be a good choice, basketball wise and my daughter-in-law is a Charleston grad.

Just makes making the NCAA harder, IMO. I don't disagree that the arena and area is nice, but if we are adding them without anyone leaving, it's a little odd.

But wouldn’t an expanded A10 schedule limit BONAVENTURE to scheduling an excessive number of MAAC schools for a Perennial Top 100 program?

The A10 should not expand. I think the addition of Loyal-Chicago was mainly done to get ahead of a team leaving, most likely UMass with their aspirations of going to a football conference. Just wait it out until that happens and get back to 14. Adding more teams just further dilutes the conference.

What's the reason for the addition? I wonder if the league is trying to get away from the current tournament set-up into something simpler. 16 to 8 to 4 to 2, with no more byes and maybe giving top 8 home court for the first round?

I would attend every Bonnies game there I definitely will. It is a nice relatively new arena, good views. I attended all the games at the Charleston tournament a few years ago which Bonnies won! Sat next to Jimmy Barron and directly behind the ESPN announcers for one the games which was -50F cooler than cool!

Not sure, but there was some rumors around UMass leaving. Not sure that has been substantiated by any legitimate outlet. Same was rumored with VCU to AAC, but I have not heard of anything concrete there either. None of these teams would ever make a formal announcement until conference tournaments are over.

I winter in Wilmington,NC. UNCW has put together a good program, and a culture of winning, nice facilities. Swept C of C this year. The area is burgeoning...just saying (selfishly)

They also had some recent success in the tournament. An upgrade over many A10 programs.
