So people are still bitching about Scmidt's allotment of playing time on the Duquesne thread. Twice as many comments bitching about a loss, than when CELEBRATING a win. This team might be SCHIZO, but not as SCHIZO as the Bandwagon.

Barry and Assa are special. We can only hope/pray they stay at Bona their entire careers.

Flowers missed one shot so you know he'll be lifted asap. Have to wonder if NoelBrown will look to transfer so he can start somewhere--if allowed. Maybe a wrong call for him, but we have seen many make poor moves. Really rough night for Pride, shooting and 3 TOs, but has not hurt at all. Let's hear it for our own Mr. Sunshine!!! Love the positivity! I think Noel Brown would have to sit out one year if he transferred. The portal allows you to transfer and play immediately the first time you transfer. The next time you transfer you sit out. So Noel would have to sit out for a year just to play one year. Doesn't sound like a smart idea.

One player from VCU (Bamisile) is at his FOURTH SCHOOL in 4 years. Never sat out. He claimed mental health reasons — twice. The NCAA is powerless to stop the transfers. Ali Ali from Akron transfered from Akron to Butler two seasons ago… then back to Akron this season. Akron appealed their ruling requiring Ali to sit one year. The NCAA caved. It’s all a joke - so don’t think any player will have to sit if they walk out the door. It’s a shame but it’s the new reality.

NCAA is a joke but why are we talking about transfers after a game like that

I thought it was great that the guys were finding the hot shooter in Assa. He couldn't miss so they were plenty happy passing up looks to let him keep it flying.
Brown impresses me with his control around the basket. He is plenty happy letting defenders fall off of him so he gets the easier look.

As good as Assa was last night I thought Mika was equally as important. I have said all season, this team is at its best when they attack down hill. Mika consistently attacked the middle all night which led to all those assists. He also opened up the passing lanes to kick it back out to the 3pt line(Assa).
When Mika is in control this team can beat anyone in this league.

Who was our last backup C that is clearly better than Noel Brown? Youssou Ndoye Ndoye averaged 2.6 PPG as a backup. Brown is much better option now than Ndoye was as a freshman backup in 11-12.

Can't think of a backup center better than Noel Brown. Osun’s backup, Karim Coulibaly is the best backup center I can think of. Believe he was under utilized at Bona. Of his 3 D1 schools (Pitt, Bona and UMass-Lowell) Bona is the only school where he wasn’t a regular starter. — Sophomore year at Pitt he started 20 of 22 games. Averaged 22.5 minutes a game and 5.2 ppg. — Senior year at UMass-Lowell started 32 of 32 games. Averaged 24.4 minutes a game and averaged 11.4 ppg. — Junior year at Bona started 1 of 33 games. Averaged 9.6 minutes a game and 3.7 ppg. Karim Coulibaly left Pittsburgh, stating he wanted an opportunity to play power forward. I was expecting Osun and Karim would see time on the court together. It took a desperate situation in the last game of the season for it to occur. Against Xavier in the NIT, Bonnies are down by 19 (33-14) with 5:02 left in 1st half. From (10:22 - 5:02) Bonnies do not score. During these 5 minutes and 20 seconds, Xavier outscore Bonnies 14-0. At 5:02 Karim enters the game. It is the first time all season where Schmidt has Osun and Karim on the floor together. It works as Bonnies end Xavier’s 14-0 run. With Osun and Karim on the floor together, Bonnies outscore Xavier 9-5 in last 5 minutes of the 1st half. During halftime I was wondering if Osun and Karim would be starting together in the 2nd half. To my surprise Karim doesn’t play in the 2nd half. I believe Karim was a much better player than his PT and stats indicate, while he was at Bona. Remembering the success with 6’10” Caswell Cyrus and 6’11” PVP starting together has me wondering if Osun and Karim could have had success playing on the court together. www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/karim-coulibaly-1.htmlgobonnies.com/sports/mens-basketball/stats/2021-22/xavier/boxscore/5615

He left Pitt came here and still really couldn't play. He was also more of a forward than center. He transferred to a lesser conference after leaving bona's. He was slow, like really slow. Noel brown is probably the best backup center we have had in years. Osun had jaylen shaw and others backing him up but they were not very good. He's averaged like 8pts and 5 boards at umass Lowell.
