The stats from last night's game contain one positive from my perspective.
The 3 frosh contributed 30% to total minutes played, points scored and rebounds.
The experience they get this year, and next, should pay huge dividends when they are juniors and seniors. How much it helps depends on their surrounding cast.

az93: I hope you are right. I'm sure there will be some improvement, or else they will be asked to transfer after their sophomore year. I'm disappointed in the freshmen. I had thought there would be flashes of brilliance from at least Eleby. But none of them can shoot the ball. They certainly are not "impact freshmen". What Bonas needs to recruit are some players like the Crispins or Pete Lisicky at Penn State. They were dead eye shots from long range every year they played.

Maplehurst- please remember where the program has been for the last few years. It is very difficult to recruit when you are in the bottom 5% of all D-1 teams. 2 solid recruits per year will give us signs of life and better recruits will follow.
I think these frosh are a pretty good start and the transfers who are eligible next year should be an upgrade and will take some of the pressure off of the 3 frosh in question.
Solid PG recruit is most critical to success during the next couple of years.

Difficult to imagine, but one year ago Solomon supporters stated Solomon should be kept, so we did not lose his valuable recruits. Currently the most productive recruit has been Hillary Haley a player signed by Schmidt. Overall this freshman class looks like a decent class, with Haley already being a starter. Eleby has shown improvement, and Morgan has flashed potential. It is the best freshman class in the last 4 years. It is too early to call them a disappointment, especially with Schmidt's ability to develop players.
