I don't think its time to think we will only win 3 a10 games just because we lost to one of the top team in the a10. Duquesne is probably 3rd or 4th best in the a10...i still think we can win 6-7 a10 games

This team is better than I thought it would be. Not only am I not jumping off the bandwagon, I am volunteering to drive. We may not win 8 - 10 A10 games but we are making solid improvements. I am not going to allow a let down or two dampen my enthusiasm for the progress shown this year.

I just had a feeling that the Dukes had a big win coming.
They came out smokin' and never let up. And it seemed to me that every bounce was going the Dukes way from the first minute on.
These kind of games happen now and again. Just like when the Dukes played Old Dominion at Palumbo Center last month. Trailing by only 2 a couple of minutes into the 2nd half the wheels came off and the Dukes got blown out at home by 26. Ron Everhart spent a long time in the locker room with the team after that one. And Aaron Jackson called a players only meeting to discuss the situation. Since then the Dukes have won 6 in a row.
So don't worry. The Bonnies are a young and talented team and games like this are part of the maturation process. They will happen again this season for both the Bonnies and the Dukes. You know the Bonnies will want revenge in 3 weeks. And Andrew Nicholson putting up 14 in the second half after only 4 in the first shows reason for encouragement in itself.
Indeed, don't jump off yet. The Bonnies and the Dukes are both teams on the rise and better days are coming fast.

Duquesne is a very young and inexperienced team, and will shoulder their share of losses. I wouldn't expect the Dukes to finish anywhere near the top three in the league, more like 7th or 8th place for me.

aoxomoxoa...You missed the point spread by just 1 in your prediction. Congrats to the Dukes for standing at #1. BTW, Charlie T was not at the RC - lucky him. Looking good for the Dukes with the 7 footer next year & Evans taking over from Jackson, who will be missed.

I would never give up on the Bonnies, and I know the direction they are headed is a slow and painful journey. Yesterday was a speed bump on the journey and there are plenty more to come. But I see the road slowly smoothing itself out as this team progresses under coach Schmidt. If we win four more A-10 games and stay in the rest of the games, with maybe two more blow outs I would view that as progress. I predicted 13 wins, but if they come up with 14 I will be ecstatic considering it is Schmidt's second season. Just being competitive is great, no delusions here. Go Bona's Beat St. Joe's!

AOXOMOXOA....indeed, you were right on with your prediction. However, the Dukes didn't have a need to display the press to force turnovers. The Bonnies took care of that in the half court sets. I was very impressed by Duquense. For a team that lost so much production from last year, they have quickly moved forward and will be a force for the next several years. Quick and good shooting - and an good understanding of Everhart's system. Good luck the rest of the year - except for 1/31!

I agree with AOX. ganyguy is also right regarding the guard play. I would expect more from Davenport as we get into the conference play. Duquesne will be a tough team to play for everyone.
