triple302 said it best this morning when he told me that this team needs a leader like crazy. Last night was pretty evident they need someone to hold teammates accountable for lack of hustle on fast breaks and getting too rattled during a big run etc...
The question is who among this group can fill that void? I think someone needs to take Jon Hall to task because he drifts in and out of games he is a guy you love/hate throughout the game.

It sounds like this team needs everything.
- F the coach, so he must suck.
- The point guards blow.
- Nobody hustles.
- Hall is out of control.
- Matthews can't spit in the ocean.
- Nobody leads.
- The student section needs big-time help.
- This team won't win another game.
I just have to chuckle about these posts especially when I see the same people doing so much praising after victories.
But I guess that's why this is a classic rebuilding year. There's going to be improable wins and inexplicable losses. With where this program is, that's just the way it is.
The sky isn't falling. This team will win six A-10 games and get into the tournament. Then next season everybody can start asking for more consistency and everything else that is supposedly lacking.

All people like me are saying is way to fine-tune them to get back to the upper echelon of the A-10 which is a process that we are currently going through.

when the game is on the line...Hall wants the ball! We have a whole new team, so leadership will come from the experience gained this year.
I am happy with the progress we have made. Not one player in our staring 5 started for us last year.

You forgot about those deadbeats in the red seats. How many games are they costing us?

First of all no one is saying that the team isn't iptoving or anything like that. I just think that people are saying that we need a leader to help us tak the next step. The process is moving and we are making tremendous strides. Just looking into what else we need to look for. A leader is one of those things. Thats all. If you read the bandwagon for a few years I think everyone has the program best interests at heart.

I don't know how pointing out a few observations is blasting the team and saying that the sky is falling. My one point throughout this season is from what I have seen, this team lacks an on court leader. I think as the team progresses throughout this year and into next, someone will emerge. I agree that we will make AC and be in line for a much better year next season.

Exactly triple
Thomas and Matthews are def. guys emerging as leaders. I noticed during the Duquesne game even through the garbage time he was yelling encouraging guys on the team.

The games I was at early in the season I observed Matthews as the guy who was providing lots of verbal direction after the team huddles & on the court. Ray was the guy that provided emotion. More recently, I also see Grease providing the leadership as his minutes increase & his play improves.

Thomas was definitely the nucleus of every huddle in the Richmond game
