The play where Anderson bounced the ball off of Matthews back and layed it in made #10 of ESPN' Top 10 this morning.

That was the only clip I saw when they featured the game in their results last evening, because it was such a bonehead play on our part. How embarassing! Cardinal rule - you always have a man guarding the inbounds when it is under the other teams basket!!!!!!

Surprised this is the first mention of that play which accounted for one of X's first baskets. I've seen it happen at every level. On another inbound occasion, where we did not defend the inbounder, the passer received a touch pass back for an easy bucket.
Watching video streaming, I found it hard to tell which Bonnie made a VERY impressive dunk on a drive in traffic? Was it Michael?

The play I liked last night was about mid way in the 2nd half, MATTHEWS passed the ball to CARTER and it hit DELANCY in the side of the head.

The dunk was by Michael Davenport in the last few minutes of the game.

How about the Cardinal rule #1 on defense: NEVER turn your back on the ball! The Xavier player had enough sense to first establish his feet inbounds before touching the ball and laying it in for a most embarassing two! I watched Temple absolutely crush St. Louis last night in Philly. Every year those Owls seem to be playing their best ball as the season progresses. I wondered how they would fair without John (Cookie Monster) Chaney. They seem to be doing just fine under Fran Dunphy. I met the AD of Temple this past spring at the A10 Baseball tournament. Mr. Bill Bradshaw is a very nice man with ties to western New York. Frank Layden gave Bill his first job coaching Niagara Baseball back in the day. Bill knows Johnny Karuch very well as he coached him at Niagara. I will be sitting with Mr. Bradshaw in his box for the Bona @ Temple game. Have we ever beaten Temple down here? GO BONAS!!!

Another funny thing from watching on TW Cable the other night was the Xavier announcers call Maxwell - Spicoli - from Fast Times at Ridgemont. Other posters have previously called him Salami - from White Shadow days.
