Then who would you nominate?

Then who would you nominate? Ray Blackburn and Malcolm Eleby... the basketball players who are actually division 1 point guards (sort of). Jesse Bosnik is a short stop. If he truly was the best point on campus, he'd have a full scholarship on the men's basketball team (Cue all baseball fans' claims of Bosnik's choice to play baseball over basketball).

Slo wouldn't offer him one because, well, he's Slo. When Schmidt got here he knew what Bosnik had to offer and tried to reconcile but Bosnik turned him down because Sudbrook was straight with him since day one ... Solomon wasn't. If you don't believe me, ask him.

Anyway, it doesn't matter at this point because Bosnik has MLB potential, not NBA potential and that's why he's playing baseball now. But I really don't think you can dismiss the fact that at this point Bosnik wouldn't be a better point guard than Eleby.

Jesse will be leaving after his Junior year because he will drafted by a MLB team.

And yes, he did choose baseball over basketball.

True or False? He might have been better at basketball since he doesn't know how to field a ball at shortstop.

I feel like last year he blew a bunch of games that Cody Vincent could have had a win. Hopefully he worked on his fielding in the offseason.

What's wrong with Matthews running the point? He had a relatively poor shooting game, but he finished with 7 assists and 1 turnover. This is his third strong perfomance handling the ball since Blackburn went down.
No, he doesn't force the tempo and his defensive vs. opposing PG's lacks quickness, but last night Hall guarded Fontan most of the 2nd half and I am more than happy to have a PG that doesn't turn it over and can occassionally hit an outside shot. In fact, I prefer the backcourt of Matthews and Davenport to any other options at this point in the season.

Lazer, I understand that you're boys with all the baseball players, but that kid simply isn't a better point gaurd than Malcolm or Ray. While both of them are pretty awful, I think they're better than a kid who hasn't played organized hoops since high school.
