This team is very capable of cementing its spot in the top 5 of the A10 for years to come. Coach has shown that he can recruit, and once we have continual starting 5s that reflect all of the guys that he wants, I think that will happen. Would we get Nicholson or Davenport if we were a MAAC team? Would Schmidt be our coach for that matter if we were going to the MAAC? The answer is no. We are in the A10 and it is our chance now to show everyone, including some posters on this board apparently, that we belong. That all starts tonight. Go Bonas!!!

Agree that the focus should be on the A-10 tourney. The MAAC is not going to happen. would cost about $2 million to switch conferences even if there was a desire to switch which there isn't. Not a good year to be degrading the MAAC however. Pomeroy has Siena and Niagara ranked higher than 12 of the 14 A-10 teams. Sagarin has them ranked higher than 10 of the 14 teams. Marist's women's team was ranked in the top 25 for a couple of weeks this season and is ranked higher than 12 of the A-10 women's teams. Ion's cross country team finished 2nd nationally. Loyola's soccer team was ranked. It has been an outstanding year for the MAAC overall. There have been years in the past where I thought the MAAC was more of a borderline D-II conference. This has not been one of them.
