Interesting article. sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4030992Could actually help to change the landscape of college sports in many ways if the lawsuit is won. BCS conferences for football are guaranteed $18 Million a year. Who says that doesn't exist for basketball either. Giving the BCS conference teams X amount of bids basically guarantees them a good share of revenues from the Tournament.

The interesting thing is going to be how Tulane reacts. Their President is on record as saying "If I knew back in 1998 what I know now about the BCS, I'd have filled a lawsuit on the spot."
The BCS cartel excluded an undefeated Tulane team, taking #15 Syracuse instead, based solely on conference affiliation. Between the time the BCS bids were announced and the actual bowls, Tulane's head coach was bought away by Clemson.
Tulane could easily make the claim that the difference in BCS payout would have provided the revenue by which to retain their coach, and the team which went 19-4 under Bowden wouldn't have gone 12-22 in the following three years under the new coach.
