The Bonnies had a very good season, no doubt about it. The team did so without too much senior leadership. Not to blame the seniors, one was a JUCO transfer and the other was a role player. It was not the same as if the Bonnies had had four year players in the starting lineup. Whenever a team gets a few seniors who have been around for four years, the seniors act like it's their team. They critique and lead the others to play well and develop. I don't see the Bonnies getting that kind of ownership mentality until Eleby's senior year. Don't get me wrong. I think and hope the Bonnies will be good next season, but the program will take a big step forward when there are seniors who say to the underclassmen, "This is our team and we will practice and play to win, so we welcome your hustle. But if you make bonehead plays, you'll hear from us."

You don't need to be a senior to lead. While I think we'll have some senior leaders this coming year, I think Andrew will show he is staking a claim as well, which will only bode well for the future.
