There is a 3 star 6ft PG out of Philly that Bona has offered. He has already over 5 offers. Does anyone know anything about him?

SirEltonRudock posted on the Bevel board recently that our class of 2010 list included the following 3 guards:
Tyreek Duren - philly Tyree Johnson - delaware county, pa Tyrone Garland - philly
All 3 are around 6", give or take. In a quick search, I didn't see us mentioned on their respective lists. I like the Tyler Durden guy, he kicks a**. (same weak Fight Club joke I made on the Bevel board).
Seems the staff is intent on recruiting only point guards who will answer to the nickname "Ty".

Garland's a stud. Quick off the dribble and when he's on, he can score from anywhere, though he's inconsistent from the outside at this point. He should be one of the top point guards in Philly, if not the best. Then again, we've heard that before, and look where it got us. Either way, I won't get my hopes too high.

Offers in hand for Garland
Thursday, 04 June 2009 By Bill Martin
Tyrone Garland is a high scoring combo guard out of Bartram High School in Philadelphia. In fact he was the leading scorer in Philly this past season as a junior, averaging 28.8 points per game.
What really makes Tyrone dangerous is his pull up game, which he has range on out to beyond the 3 point line. When his jumper is on he is nearly unstoppable. He has excellent elevation and high arc on his shot which makes it very difficult to defend. Tyrone can also get to the hoop and finish, as well as hitting runners in the lane.
While he usually runs point, Tyrone is a score first, pass second type of player. He can create for his teammates but we would definitely like to see him set up his teammates more often. Another thing he needs to work on is being more consistent. When his jumper is falling Tyrone usually looks like the best player on the floor, but when his shot isn't falling his game is not on the same level. There are also times where he does not appear to be playing with maximum effort.
Tyrone has a chance to be a big time player at the next level if he can be more consistent with his play and effort.
We caught up with Tyrone recently to get an update on his recruitment.
Tyrone informed us that he has interest from Temple, La Salle, Drexel, Nebraska, St. Bonaventure, Butler, Rutgers, Providence, Virginia Tech, Rice, Seton Hall and Maryland.
With Temple, La Salle, Drexel, Nebraska and St. Bonaventure having already offered.
Tyrone let us know that he does not have any favorites at this point, but he does like all the schools that offered him. He also mentioned that he visited Virginia Tech and Maryland and liked both.
He has also visited Temple and La Salle.

There is a kid at CBA in Albany who is a very versatile guard named Kameron Jones. He will top out at about 6'6" when he's through - with a huge wingspan. He needs to fill out some more as a senior but he can shoot the long range jumper, go the hole, board and the best part is - he gets assigned to be the stopper on the other teams best player. A good kid to boot. He is a kid who'd make a great Bonnie.
