I just read that Rutgers guard Corey Chandler was dismissed from the basketball team. At one time, he was considered as a possible transfer to the Bonnies. No details were provided.

I say we pass on this kid. Sounds like more trouble than he's worth. Just my humble opinion.

A number of schools are willing to take Chandler right now, although he would have to sit out a year per NCAA transfer regulations.
- “University of Maryland-Eastern Shore - University of Tennessee-Chattanooga - University of North Carolina-Central - North Carolina A&T
already offered,” said Alif Muhammad of the Alif Muhammad NIA School in Newark, an adviser to Chandler. “They’ll take him.”

According to North Star, Brett Roseboro will not be attending Marquette. Rumor was Schmidt loved his game. Late talented transfers like Corey Chandler and Brett Roseboro is the reason why Schmidt keeps a "scholarship in his pocket." Following is a statement Roseboro made about the Bonnies. He said he’d received some Division I recruiting interest from smaller schools like St. Bonaventure, but it all changed following an impressive performance for his AAU team, the Lehigh Valley Heat, in September while playing in a high-level AAU league in New York City. blogs.phillyburbs.com/news/hs_sports/2008/11/13/boys-basketball-quakertown-center-roseboro-commits-to-marquette/Following are interesting comments about Rutgers from LFBall blog. I have not spoken with Craig Carter or Corey Chandler. However I have spoken with many others very close to each of them including one of the Newark Eastside Coaches, and a very close advisor to many NY high school D1 prospects. I have also spoken to some D1 Assistants who are saying off the record that what has transpired at Rutgers is mind boggling. In fact, one assistant coach and a community coach in NYC mentioned to me even a prominent Big East Head Coach is shaking his head not only about what has happened recently, but what has happened all year. And in the last 6 minutes I recieved 2 calls from VERY CONNECTED AAU guys who said they could not reconmend a player attend Rutgers.....WOW! Very Connected!!! lfballonhoops.blogspot.com/
